Rear Ballast Box Fell Off From One Side of 3pt Hitch

I tried to lower, the 3pt arms but they did not move, I had a hydraulic top link and tried to lift the box but it did not move, it was hanging badly at an angle I was concerned with breaking or bending something. The fact that I could not move the tractor forward was another issue. I took the...

    Sage brush puller?!

These are great tree pullers from palletforks.com, they are sold for skid steer use but fit any standard SSQA. I used mine on my MX5800 for a couple of years pulling mainly 2-5 " diameter trees out of sandy based soil. Once I got to 4" diameter, it often involved more of a fight. I don't know...

What to include in BX2680 order

Congratulations on ordering your new tractor, it’s very exciting. It sounds like you have made your wish list and everyone is adding to it! The reality is that sometimes it’s hard to make all the decisions up front, a box blade is a useful accessory, personally I like the compactness of a...

Rear Ballast Box Fell Off From One Side of 3pt Hitch

I try to do the same but there is a lot of side inertia on a 600lbs ballast box when you are traveling over the moonscape of a woodland clearing with craters everywhere from having ripped roots out with a bigger heavier piece of equipment. As soon as I get the area cleared I will get in there...

    How much rear ballast ?

Weight will also be limited by the ballast box you select. I have a Titan cat I ballast box and fill it with bags of fine gravel, total weight when full of the steel box plus gravel is 600 lbs, that works well for me on my L3901.

    Wait for a 2020 B2601 or get a 2019 B2650?

Buy B2650 but fit turf tires, load the rear tires. I have an L3901 that I run on my lawns at home part of the year, I selected turf tires, it leaves no marks unless ground is really wet. Turfs are good in snow too. I use the turfs in woodland and fields too, they cope well. Tractor weight is...

Box Blade Size for L3901 HST?

I’d recommend no bigger than 72” and no smaller than 66”. There are a number of brands I would consider: Woods Bush Hog SBX range Land Pride Everything Attachments I have a Bush Hog SBX 60 that I use on my L3200 or L3901 and a heavy Woods 84” That I use on my MX5800 if you are on open ground...

Rear Ballast Box Fell Off From One Side of 3pt Hitch

Had an interesting experience at the weekend while I was in rough woodland cover running my L3901, one side of the rear ballast box came unattached. I was doing a lot of grapple loader work, back and forth loading tree roots that were piled up in many places of an area I had previously been...

    L2501 config. advice

I paid $900 to have a 3rd function hydraulic kit fitted on a L3901 (same as L2501), I just posted about a nice compact grapple that I purchased from MTL Attachments that was a lot of value at $999 delivered as it was a twin lid unit with 2 hydraulic cylinders. See...

    BX23 hydraulic fill

I would not drain, operate your tractor and check it again a day or so later. I would not be worried if it stayed 1/8" over, it has a reservoir and 1/8" is not going to hurt anything. If it drops below full I would top back up to full.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It was a busy weekend, snow has finally gone, first task was to pick up the L3200 from the local dealer where it was having a set of rear remotes fitted. This tractor does not have a loader and as a result it was a very expensive bill to fit the remotes, the remotes also mounted very differently...

Should I be using a box blade?

I have one of the scarifier bars by Land Shark, it is a very useful attachment for breaking up ground. It’s designed to attach another attachment behind, I often add a landscape rake. I purchased from EA about 4 years ago, I would recommend it.

    Post hole auger

If you are running on your M70, I suggest you consider a heavy unit, there are lots of lighter units for sale in the market place. You have not stated what your planned use is, how often used, auger size etc. I run a Land Pride 25 HP unit on my L series but only use up to a 12" auger. Tree...

L Series Compact Grapple Search - Twin Lid Model

EA make very nice equipment and do a great job of weight reduction on their grapples. I own quite a few of their attachments. Their grapple pricing is on the high end but I understand this is because of the quality of their build. Your grapple looks large on the front of your L series, I think...

L Series Compact Grapple Search - Twin Lid Model

Back in December I spent some time online looking for a new grapple for my L3901, my requirements were to buy a "compact" grapple for use in a woodland setting, twin lid, not too heavy and not too expensive. I already own a large heavy grapple that I use on my MX5800 and Kubota track loader. at...

    Biggest Box Blade for B2601

I’d go with a reasonable weight 60” box blade. Bush Hog SBX 60 is 490lbs, Woods make a nice similar weight unit, Land Pride makes a 60” in this weight range. As you stated you need tractor weight and traction.

    Hydraulic oil/engine oil change Confirmation

I’d say Kubota filters, engine oil as per your owner’s manual and Kubota fluids for Hst. General maintenance is not difficult if you follow Owners Manual and Work SHop Manual (WSM). I have L3901 WSM in pdf, send me a private message with your email and I will share it.

Will a Tractor Supply 12" Auger fit on a Landpride PD15 PHD?

Work out what connection your pd15 has, round or hex and what size. The TSC auger has to match, the connection description will be in the part description. Different connections have different part numbers for the same diameter auger. they also make adaptors for different connectors but you...

    Rotary Cutter for Grand L4060

You have a slip clutch on the pto shaft of your new cutter, I strongly recommend that you reset it at the start of every cutting season, make sure you learn how to avoid it rusting or seizing up. My son destroyed the 75hp gearbox and pto shaft on our Woods cutter when the old used slip clutch...

    Rotary Cutter for Grand L4060

I think this is a better overall decision than the finish mower. Your MX6000 will handle this well. I use a Woods BB720X on my MX5800, I believe the cutter weighs 1,100 lbs and only has one rear wheel. I feel that I have plenty of HP even when cutting waist high grass. Your RCR 1884 weighs...
