    Stump bucket

I have a Titan Extreme HD Stump Bucket, I occasionally used it on my MX5800 up until I purchased a Kubota track loader SVL75. At about 500lbs this unit is meant for large tractors or skid steers / track loaders. It will do serious work on a track loader. I would not dream of putting this on my L...

    Sunshade

I fitted a low cost version to an L3200, it's a Tuff Top 48" x 52" ROPS mount, purchased last year for $295 including shipping and tax from All States Ag Parts. It's simple, light and has withstood woodland use.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

The wood clear up is a constant task, got the old buzz saw out for a large stack of small diameter cuts. Killed the 40 year old buzz saw gearbox, guess the oil seals leaked and it did not run so well without any oil on this very hot day! New gearbox on order but delivery is 14 weeks! Upgraded...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Recently did a little late corn planting, to give the deer something to eat as the first frosts or snow comes.

in the market for a grapple

I was exactly where you are last year looking for a grapple for my L3901. Feel free to ask any questions. I posted some photos and comments in the link below about my final selection, an MTL CV twin lid grapple, I paid $995 including shipping when I ordered in December last year, they are...

Chin Strap & Grill Guard - Total Protection

The best reference I can give is to mount the top of the mesh guard with the top horizontal cross member of the original tractor guard frame, you can see this in my photo at the start of this post. Let me know if this helps. I am due some tractor time tomorrow and can take more photos or...

To L3301F HST or not to L3301F HST

Mark, It’s a crazy time to buy a tractor just like it is a car, so many things are in short supply or on back order. The L3301 is a good machine for all the items you mentioned. Personally I like at least 25hp at the pto. if you plan to run a grapple you will need a 3rd function installed. I...

    Rotary cutter options

I run Woods BB72 on my MX5800, I’m very impressed and happy with it. It cuts extremely well even in very tall dense cover. I liked it so much I purchased a new model BB60 for running behind my L series. Well built, front and rear chains, slip clutch pto shafts. Easy change blade system works...

$3000 for dealer installed top and tilt: fair?

I’d get the 2 sets of rear remotes fitted as I purchased the tractor. You have not stated why you want top and tilt cylinders or how much you plan to use them. I use hydraulic top links on my tractors but have never found a serious need to use a tilt cylinder. I understand why you may want a...

    Financing through Bank

Best solution will be sell BX privately, pay off the financing, buy new L series on 0% deal. I really like my L series, great capabilities. Life’s short make it happen if you can.

    Landscape Rake?

My suggestion was box blade first and then chain harrow. The issue you have on box blade size is the lack of weight in your BX and if you try to move too much material you will lose traction. I would recommend that you tackle your maintenance when it is softer, using the box blade rippers first...

    Landscape Rake?

You can buy box blades with widths in between 48” and 60”, some brands are 54” or 55”, be careful how big you go. I do a lot of surface smoothing with a chain harrow, you can buy a 6’ wide one for $299 at TSC, this would work well for your finishing task. The chain harrow will also work well...

Can I use a Box Blade with Turf Tires for my project?

I’m with BigG a tiller will break things up, then Boxblade, rake is very useful. TSC sells a drag harrow, easy to use and will help level things up real well, strongly recommend one. You should have no issues with turf for tilling, raking or drag harrow. Box blade will be ok if you have tilled...

    Rock bucket on Craigslist

Nice bucket, you will have no issue using that with your MX. I have a Titan model that is a little heavier at about 770lbs that I sometimes use on my MX. When I mount it on my track loader it is one of my favorite tools for leveling ground and clearing roots. Good luck with your sifting.

Grapple from M7060 Tractor on Track Steer SVL95

I agree with changing tractor front hydraulics to flat face, I generally find you get a better seal and less leaks with flat face couplers. I’m in the process of changing 2 tractor front hydraulics to flat face, I also have a track loader and share attachments with my SVL 75.

Chin Strap & Grill Guard - Total Protection

The mesh grill guard and frame tilts forward with no issue and does not touch the chin strap lower piece. So it operates just as before.

    L3901 and 7’ box blade

I woul I’m a L3901 owner and run it with a heavy duty 5’ box blade, it performs very well. If I was only doing gravel driveway I would either buy a 66” or 72”, I suggest you buy a heavy unit, they should be at least around 500 lbs for this size. Id be tempted to go 66” just to avoid it...
