    Stump removal

So I purchased a towable backhoe to complement my BX2200. It was a little muddy out, but with more rain coming I wasn’t going to miss the chance to try out the new toy. Dug around all 4 sides and got it loose enough where I could almost pull it out with the backhoe Then I was able to use the...

Best way to spread top soil

I spread 20 tons of topsoil last spring in my garden and low places around the property with just my FEL. I would slowly dump it as a rolled backwards. Then I would use my FEL in float to back drag it. I could adjust the angle of the bucket on the back drag to make it more or less aggressive...

    Towable Backhoe

I had been keeping a look out too and joined a number of facebook groups. I was able to hit the $400 off for the inside track club plus they had either another 10% off or no interest for 36months if you used the Harbor Freight credit card.

    Towable Backhoe

I used the loader with the ball to lift the back to remove the wheels. Then used the backhoe bucket to lift up the front one side at a time. I saw a video where you can lift one side with the backhoe bucket to swap the wheel to the front, but I haven’t tried that yet. A common mod is to get an...

    Towable Backhoe

I have a hitchball on my loader as well as a drawbar with one for the 3pt. The wheels switch to the back of the backhoe with metal stabilizer legs on the front when you are digging. To transport it the wheels swap to the front. I am still trying to figure out how to transport it around the...

    Towable Backhoe

Might not technically be an attachment, but I use the BX to move it around the property. Got delivered on Friday. Put it together and tested it out today. It’s going to take some practice to get efficient with it, but still a whole lot better than a shovel.

The toy tractor saves my back again

Not really. Researched and watched videos prior to purchase. Definitely won’t be as fast as some other options, but will still work well for my needs.

The toy tractor saves my back again

ll Will do. I am hoping to get it put together this weekend. Regular price is $3499. They had $400 off…..so that covered tax and the $100 delivery. Could have gotten an additional 10% off with their CC, but I decided not to go that route. Total delivered was $3448.

The toy tractor saves my back again

Gonna save what I can. I hear you about the price of lumber. I have been getting creative about using pallets for stuff since I get them for free from my work.

The toy tractor saves my back again

Harbor Freight had their towable trencher on a big sale earlier this month. I have some projects that, at the price, it made sense to buy one vs renting something so I placed my order. Shipment arrived today. Truck had a lift gate, but the pallet jack wouldn't work on the stone drive. I was...

"To turbo or not to turbo, that is the question"

Beat me to it. I linked your thread in my response. I will be interested to see the PTO dyno results you get

"To turbo or not to turbo, that is the question"

If this is a "Because I want to and think it would be fun" project then I say go for it!! Nice research on finding turbo Kubota engines. For the size engine and hp/torque output range that is possible I would be interested to see what the difference would be between turboing an existing NA...

    New Guy Intro

Welcome. I hear you about it opening up a whole new fun world...as well as the wishing you got it years ago. I got my BX about 3 years ago. One of the best purchases I have made. Saves time and my back. Amazing what I can get done with it. Prior to the BX I had a regular rider. IT definitely...

    New BX 1880 ?LA211?

I have the LA211 on my BX2200. It has 3 hoses that attach to it from the tractor’s hydraulic system. I believe the newer BX setup has 4. Is there a specific reason why you are replacing your older BX1880? Im not sure what you use your BX for, but having the loader on mine is one of the main...

    New Member

Welcome!!! Nice setup you have there. I am up in northern Indiana. Got my BX about 3 years ago (6 months after the purchase of my new 5 acre property). It has been great. One of the best purchases I have ever made. I was just using it yesterday to move firewood from my pile to the new firewood...

    Hydraulic pump relief valve.

For my BX I got a hydraulic pressure kit from BXpanded. My pressure was a little low. I bumped it up to 2000psi. There was a noticeable difference in the lifting/curling force of the FEL. For my BX you increase the hydro relief pressure by removing the spring and adding shims to it.

New (to me) BX and to the forum

The place I moved from was about an acre and a BX would have made my life easier there too. It is quite possible the power bagger could provide enough ballast. As you use the BX you will figure out what items will benefit you and what won't. I am lucky that a place by my work rents...

New (to me) BX and to the forum

Congrats on the new BX. I got my first one almost 3 years ago shortly after I purchased my new 5 acre property that had been completely neglected. It is one of the best purchases I have made. Even thought the BX is small as far as tractors go you will find it is very capable.....it will just...
