    Replaced BX turnbuckles

It’s possible the lift link is not correct. I haven’t touched them since I got the tractor about 3 years ago. I will take a look at it when I ge the tractor out and on flat ground. As far as the implement not being centered and the holes being off. You are correct. I just threw the new...

    Replaced BX turnbuckles

Ebay I haven’t looked closely at the lift arms, but I don’t believe one is bent more. I think it is the angle of the pick and also the box scraper that is attached could be shifted to the side some. I will have to check when I get the BX out on a level surface.

    Replaced BX turnbuckles

Got these in the mail today and installed them. Hopefully they will make it easier to hookup and remove attachments. Before After

    Glow Plug question

I haven't had an issue with my BX2200 starting. Here in northern Indiana we can get temps down below 0*f in the winter. At those temps I turn my key halfway to activate the GP anywhere from 5-10 seconds. Starts right up. I have had it run rough for a few seconds since not all cylinders were...

    Propane Tank install with MX5400

Not bad, especially if you enjoy playing in the dirt with the tractor.

    Propane Tank install with MX5400

Nice. How long did it take digging it with the front end loader? I have dug a bit with the FEL on my BX. Not the greatest, but it beats a shovel. I am sure the MX has a lot more weight and power than my BX.

    no need for ballast?

You could get a hydraulic pressure gauge to make sure your bypass is set to the correct pressure. If it is low it will reduce the weight you can lift. I have a BX2200, so a little smaller that yours. I need ballast when spreading topsoil and gravel. I currently use my box blade for ballast and...

    Diesel fuel treatment

I use the Power Service white bottle in the winter. Seems to work well. I'm sure there are quite a few that do the job, I use the PS because it is readily available and fairly inexpensive. If you do use it make sure you read all the instructions. It talks about the mix ratio, but then goes on...

    Led headlights

I replaced the bulbs in my BX2200 with direct replacement LEDs. Made a big difference. Now I just have to figure out how to adjust the angle. Of course they are worthless when doing anything with the FEL after dark so I will be adding ROPs lights.

Tricks to replace Motor Mount on BX2200?

Mine hasn’t bent back in yet. I have a little over 1.5 years on it. Tractor gets worked pretty hard and parts of the area I mow are pretty rough and bounce a lot. I will keep an eye on it and bend it back out as needed for the time being, although eventually replacing them would probably be a...

Tricks to replace Motor Mount on BX2200?

It has been a while since I replaced these. IIRC I was able to use a decent sized prybar. With it I was able to bend the brackets back out. Then I took the bolts off both sides of the mounts and use the pry bar to lift the engine enough to remove and replace the mounts. I don’t think I had to...

Kubota B8200 - Any performance mods?

It is a matter of fuel and air. The Kubota (or at least mine) is an NA engine. Unless the intake or exhaust design is super restrictive there won’t be much you can do to get more power. If you add fuel, without more air it won’t help….it could even hurt. It is like my old NA IDI diesel in my...

    BX2200 Hydraulic Hardline question

I have my torch, but would have to go get some supplies to braze it. The line looked a little kinked/flat on the bottom. New line is only $20 and I am not in the middle of a tractor project so I will probably just go with a new one

    BX2200 Hydraulic Hardline question

Thanks...... I guess it took 20 years to wear through so it might not be too bad. I might see what I can use as an insulator.

    BX2200 Hydraulic Hardline question

So a little while ago when I was spreading a bunch of gravel I notices that I was leaving small drips on the ground when lifting a full bucket. Finally got around to tracking down the leak. There is a pinhole leak in the center hardline in the picture right were it goes through the pillow...

    Bolt on bucket chain hooks

If you had 2 hooks placed in front of the lifting arm (this is recommended) you would not want to hook something to just one. It can tweak/bend the FEL arms by pulling sideways. I have used a chain in between the hooks with a strap attached, although the general rule of thumb is that you don't...

    Bolt on bucket chain hooks

I would go with 2 hooks. It adds a ton of versatility to it. I can't remember a time that I used just one. A big thing would also be that you would have to put the hook right in the middle of the bucket so it didn't twist your loader arm when using it. My setup It's possible I could do this...
