BX saves time and my back

If I had unlimited storage space and the money I would have a ZT to mow and the BX for other projects. I don’t have either of these so I just use the BX for both. Mowing with the BX isn’t bad. The 60” deck and increased ground speed helps.

    BX2680 - Did I go too small?

I just moved 20 tons of gravel and 40 tons of topsoil with my BX2200 FEL. It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but after a little bit I didn’t have an issue getting a full bucket load. It takes a little more than just pushing in to the pile and scooping. Have to work the HST pedal...

Any plans for an egt probe and turning up the fuel?

    Driveway Expansion.

Driveway expansion complete. Now everyone can park and pull out without going through the grass. I even had enough gravel to revamp the main drive that was getting pretty thin. Another positive is that I maybe able to loop around with the camper instead of having to back it in….. but even if I...

    Temp storage building

Got this done for the most part. Lag bolted the middle legs down and then used metal strapping on the end ones since they don’t have holes for lags. Put gravel on the inside for a floor. May end up adding more depending on how it lasts. It will be nice to be able to move things out of the...

Part number diagram for BX2200 hydraulic hardline

I looked at that. The line I am talking about is shown in this picture, but the diagram/labels are just showing the loader hoses etc. I am talking about the hardline that is on the tractor that the FEL hoses connect to with quick connects.

Part number diagram for BX2200 hydraulic hardline

Spreading gravel today and I started to notice some drops where I had been getting bucketloads. Upon inspecting the tractor closer it appears to be one of the 3 hard lines that connect to the FEL. I have not takes things apart yet, but it is dripping from the pillow block bracket that hold the 3...

    Driveway Expansion.

The quarry said they would do well for a residential drive. It is 53s with powder in it. They said the powder should wash down and help create a split base.

    Driveway Expansion.

20 tons of 53s delivered yesterday. Started spreading it. Hope to get it done while I am off work this week. Also put gravel in the canvas storage shed I just put up. Going to take some shovel work to get it all leveled out though. Tight quarters to try and do it all with the BX.

    Driveway Expansion.

I have a U shaped driveway at the house but is narrow enough they that you have to drive through part of the inside of the U if any other cars are parked. It is also a pain when backing our camper in. We decided it was time to widen/expand it. Didn't take too long to get the sod off. Made a...

    Temp storage building

this could work. The bars that hold the canvas down on the sides are adjustable and can be moved up or down to adjust the tension on the cover. I could probably loosen them and get some pipe insulation in there.

BX2200 4wd front axle clicking when under stress

Hi all. I have been doing some box blade work and moving piles of dirt with my BX2200. I noticed that when I get to where the Box Blade stops the tractor or the pile of dirt stops it when scooping I get a clicking noise from the front axle. 4wd works as it should. No noise when driving it or...

    Temp storage building

I see what you mean about the fabric and the ridgepoles. I tried to not put much tension on it, but we well see. I was almost wondering if I could put some hind of cushion on the corners of the poles between them and The canvas

    Temp storage building

Got this put up yesterday. Not too bad, although the wind made putting the cover over it interesting. I still have to have a load of gravel brought in to fill in the floor. Hope to get the gravel done this week.

    BX2200 Can't start when hot

What happens if you jump the starter with a thick piece of wire? Does it crank and start? My BX2200 had an intermittent starting issue when I first got it. Over time resistance through the saftey switches built up and there wasn't enough voltage to close the starter solenoid. This seems to be a...

    Fuel additive use or not

I use the Power Service white bottle for winter time. Don't typically use anything in the summer months. In my IDI van I would use some ashless 2 stroke oil to help with lubrication of the fuel system.

    Temp storage building

We haven’t been getting too much snow recently, but it is open farm land around so we do get some decent winds. A few people I have talked to that have had them say it is important to keep them closed during windy times or else the canvas gets all ripped up
