    Tips for well line?

Thanks. I can look down the well and see the saddle/pitiless adapter to tell where the line comes out at. I will dig parallel to it on the side of the well. Then I can use a shovel to find it and dig around it. I think the concrete is excess that might have come out the bottom of the form. It...

    Tips for well line?

It very well could be the pump that is bad, but running the new line in to the house to get rid of the well house was something I had planned for this spring anyway. Figured if this doesn’t fix the pressure issue then I will replace the pump. May have to upsize it anyway with the other additions...

    Tips for well line?

Also, I wasn’t expecting this. The concrete for the footer extends out 4’ from the crawl space wall. House is just a 1 story on a crawl space. Expected 18-24”.

    Tips for well line?

Got the BX and my towable backhoe out for the first bigger spring project. Running a new line from the well in to the house to get rid of the outside well house. I also think the old line is leaking since my well pump started running constantly and the system won’t build more than about 25psi...

    Impressed with the BX capabilities!

I 100% agree. My bx2200 isn’t going to till acres of ground, but around my 5 acres it does Great. While I don’t condone unsafe tractor behavior, with a little creativity you can safely accomplish a ton. I have tons of pics of projects I have done, but not gonna clutter the thread with them.

    Towable Backhoe

It could be done. There is a guy who built axles and can drive it around. it is all a matter of time, money and fabrication skills.

    Towable Backhoe

Figuring out the whole subframe issue would be a hurdle. I will have to try a few different scenarios as far as moving it around while doing a job. Trial an error will probably be the best.

    Towable Backhoe

I am with you. I would be interested to see one converted. Heck, if someone did it and did a decent job I may even be convinced to pay them to convert mine. The biggest drawback I have found so far with this one is the mobility issue.

    Towable Backhoe

With the right tools and skill set anything is possible. The only unit I found that was specifically made for my BX2200 was a Woods. It looks like a nice unit and had the subframe as well as the backhoe available. I looked around for a used setup, but didn't find anything. For my use I just...

    Towable Backhoe

Nice. This one isn't overly fast, but it has a decent amount of digging power. Upgrading the pump to a higher flowing one is a pretty common mod. It doesn't really increase the power, but does increase the speed quite a bit. If I just had one project to do, I would have rented...

    Towable Backhoe

A couple of weeks ago it was dry enough to get out some. I dug up and old stump. Took my time and got it done without any damage to the machine. Worked pretty well. Been way to wet to do anymore work with it. Main reason I got it was for trenching etc, not digging stumps.

    Towable Backhoe

I saw that video. Said he bent it by trying to go to hard after some roots.

If you found one for the right price and you like fabricating stuff it could be an interesting project.

New (to me) BX and to the forum

Glad it helped some. From my reading it sounds like the 1900-2100 range is a safe level that provides good performance

New (to me) BX and to the forum

Sounds like you have a good amount of ballast. Once you verify the pressure then it just comes down to figuring out the best way work the machine.

New (to me) BX and to the forum

I would definitely check your pressure. My BX2200 was a little low and struggled a little. I shimmed the relief valve up to 2000psi and it helped a lot, especially noticeable using the curl. As far as the weight of a bucket of snow, I don’t think it should be too much for it to lift. I moved 40...

    Stump removal

I am sure a bigger machine would have been faster/easier, but from an efficiency standpoint this was night and day difference from the last stump this size I pulled (pics below). I just had the BX at the time. Spent 2-3 hours one day digging down all around it. Then another 2-3 hours another...

    Stump removal

I will say I need to figure out how to get some more ballast on the back of it…..or I guess I could try leaving it hooked to the tractor.
