    Tilling time!!

Paying attention to the length of the PTO shaft is important. The shaft is basically 2 sized triangular tubes where one is slightly smaller and slides inside the other. This setup gives you quite a bit of flexibility for different machines. The rental place rented this tiller to people with...

    Tilling time!!

Tiller worked great!!! Garden is planted. I was able to make a gate out of old pallets I got from my work. I had a few area from other digging projects that had been left bare. I went ahead and tilled them as well so they would be ready to seed and cover with straw.

    Tilling time!!

Costs me $100 to rent it. I pass the rental place ont he way to and from work, so time is minimal.

    Tilling time!!

That is kinda what I was thinking. Tilling a garden in the area for $100-150 a pop could make the $$ up pretty quick.

    Tilling time!!

Always a good time of year. I rent a tiller from my local farm store/Kubota dealer to till up the garden. This year I added a bunch of topsoils and compost, so hoping for a good harvest. Got mine tiller and plant d this morning. Going to head over to a friends tomorrow to get his tilled up. Also...

    Any Pond folk out there?

Yes it is. That is exactly why I live out in the country. I have about a 35 minute commute to work and it is a bit more of a drive to get to any substantial grocery store, but when I sitting out by the pond enjoy the sun and a beverage......listening to all the nature. Just can't beat it.

    Any Pond folk out there?

I don't fertilize, so don't need to worry about that runoff. I know that was a big issue in some of the more developed lakes around here. I have been looking around at floating fountains and windmills. Probably an addition down the line.

    Any Pond folk out there?

Yeah, mine definitely has some wildlife. It was over run with just bluegill. They were way overpopulated and all stunted. I added some small catfish and bass 2 springs ago to try and cut the bluegill population down. Thinking I should see the effects this year and next since they are starting...

    Any Pond folk out there?

Thanks for all the feedback. This is my 4th spring with the pond. I don't have any real good pics showing it's condition when I moved in (only a couple vids). But the one is me walking up to it and you can't even see it due to the brush. The older on from Google maps shows what the algae...

    Any Pond folk out there?

I have a 1/2 acre pond on my property. The prior owner completely neglected the property and it was so grown up around it that you couldn't even see the pond. It was also completely covered in algae. Since I moved in I have cleared all around it, treated the pond with blue dye and enzymes...

It’s amazing what can be done with a little imagination. Mine have been retired to lawn duty around the property

Friends don't let friends shovel dirt

It’s a home built/pieced together trailer. It started its life as a 70s Shasta camper. Tore it down to just the deck and hauled all the metal to scrap. Then I swapped in a 3500lb axle with brakes from my old 1994 Colman 30’ camper I was scraping out. When I did that I mounted the axle under the...

The toy tractor does it agian….

It works decently, but I don’t have it setup that way for any performance reason. I have a full set of AG tires that I usually run, but on one of the front ones my valve stem started leaking. I swapped in the turf tires as a quick fix.

The toy tractor does it agian….

Ha ha….you are correct!!! Ihave been very impressed with the BX capabilities and what I can do with it. Just a little jab at the countless times I have been told the BX “Isn’t a real tractor” or “That’s just a toy tractor”……..all in fun.

New Piranha Toothbar worked great. Made it easier to get a full bucket. The extra inch or two lip on the bottom of the bucket seemed to help hold the dirt in the bucket on the drive from the pile to the garden.

The rain finally let up enough for me to have a load of top soil delivered. 22 tons moved and spread in the garden with my BX2200. Next will be a load of compost and tilling.
