    L2501 w/ Loader?

Get a few quotes from locals then get one or two from out of state (Barlows, Messicks). See which is the best fit. I do prefer a local dealer if they are competitive and well established.

    Buying an L4701. 2017 vs 2018

Same situation I had. Messicks was super nice, but with 3000 freight to CO it was a wash.

    B26 manual thumb

Sorry to hear it didnt work out. It will burn the pocketbook, but you will be happier with the hydraulic thumb :)

    B26 manual thumb

I am of course with Armstrong. Many, many folks told me to get the hydraulic thumb. It has certainly been worth the money.

    B26 manual thumb

I dont see one listed on Kubota website either. Just the hydraulic. I think you are going to have to get one fabricated, or find another model that can be modified to fit.

    Grapple

What do you plan on lifting with the grapple? You may be severely weight limited so be careful what you purchase. EA has a great reputation and offers very lightweight options. Personally I have Landpride, it is also expensive, but I am not sure they have the same weight/strength/value...

Hydraulic leak on new Kubota BX23S

Hopefully it is just something minor and it can be fixed in short order. Kudos to you for being attentive and noticing the leaks early. Check the fluid when you get the machine back to be sure any losses were replaced by the dealer. If they weren’t you know what you have to work with.

    4 in 1 Bucket

I agree on the 4 in 1. Also good luck using the tractor as a bull dozer.....it just isnt heavy enough to push much dirt. For Grapples look at EverythingAttachments.com, they are the best balance of value and quality in my opinion. Others may have more suggestions.

    B3350 or B2650?

If you can wait for the B3350 v2, I would do that. I know there are happy current model B3350 model owners out there, but if you search heavily on these forums and TBN you will see a disproportionate # of issue posts for this model. Messicks posted a specific video just on this machine. My...

    Grapple Opinions Again

Congrats. I dont think you will need to worry about bending that one up!

    Root grapple options

Sorry to make it more difficult. The truth is they are both incredibly useful, and finding the one that is most useful to you can be tough!

    Root grapple options

In case you are looking for an opinion on the non flat bottom grapple (everyone calls it something different it seems) I choose this design because I can back drag with it and it almost works like a rake to get larger debris but leave dirt. You cant do this well with a flat bottom grapple...

    Horsepower at 7000 ft altitude

With a Turbocharger you dont loose any HP at altitude already. There is no reason to adjust it (unless I miss understood your comment).

    l2501 owners opinions please

If you have experience I your terrain with that type of tire I see no reason to go differently. A few things about R1s...first they arent as thick of a wall so they will puncture easily (not sure about your 1979 versions but todays probably arent as thick). You might want to consider some R1s...

Is a 3rd function worth the expense?

Agree, and the 3rd function actuated from a rear remote is the worst of the 3 if you have to reach off the loader joystick to actuate the rear remote lever for the grapple. Do it right if you are going to get it. If you can get this rear remote actuation tied to a toggle or rocker switch that...

    Horsepower at 7000 ft altitude

I am at 8600 ft and looked at the effects of altitude on tractor performance closely. You are loosing closer to 3% per 1000 ft in a non turbo Diesel engine. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/buying-pricing-comparisons/392019-tractor-buying-advice-47-acres-6.html#post5012202 (post 53)...

2 Machine Purchase- What would you do?

Find a better Kubota Dealer or go with Bobcat. My Kubota Dealer was happy to let me Demo machines. They even had rental Mini Ex and CTLs that they would let me use and reduce the cost of rental. This is your dealer’s problem, not a Kubota problem.

Capacity just over your breakout, 48 inch length, adjustable width if possible. I have the landpride version, they work great.
