I know there must be a manual thumb kit from kubota but i have spoken with 2 dealers one being (messick) who say the only thing that fits the b26 with the BT820 hoe is the powered thumb and that kit is 2000$ for parts only.

something similar to this,

I cant post the link because of a post count its a manual thumb at bxpanded

I know its not listed as fitting. The hoe comes with the eye welded on for the top already.

Thank you for your help, I have spent hours trying to find this.

This is the thumb on my BH77 hoe, looks like what you need? I could send measurements if helpful. IMG_20190327_123238437.jpg

I dont see one listed on Kubota website either. Just the hydraulic. I think you are going to have to get one fabricated, or find another model that can be modified to fit.

23 3/4" between end of dipperstick and thumb mount flanges pins. 2 9/16" gap for thumb bar at mount flanges with 1" pin.

Take some pictures of what you would like and of your setup with measurements to your local fabrication shop - they should be able to make up a manual thumb pretty easily. I bought the bolt on thumb for mine from amazon, and it's been very useful already.

Your thumb is exactly what i have in mind, the distance between the boom ear and the main pin on the bucket i dont really care about i can cut or weld on an extension the adjustable part.
what will make or break that is:
1. the pin diameter in the ear on the secondary boom, the length of that pin when installed? I can make spacers or again cut it down.
2.the diameter of the main bucket pin as well as the distance between the ears that go outside of the existing bucket mount?
3. how long is the tooth part I dont know what else to call this the part that goes from the mount pin to the teeth on the bucket.

thank you very much in advance.

B76A here with thumb. I soon found that a manual thumb is a total pain in the ass...I plumbed the rear remotes and the ram...for about 8-900$, the ram was about 400 and the thumb was 600 I think. The hydraulic thumb is the most valuable asset of my tractor...use it almost every time I use the tractor...money well spent.

The inside faces of the thumb pivot mount at the bucket main pin are 6" apart - in answer to the other question about outside of bucket mounts. All my measurements are close but not precise, using a carpenter tape, and BH is still in storage so can't reposition.

I am of course with Armstrong. Many, many folks told me to get the hydraulic thumb. It has certainly been worth the money.

Thank you so much, Ill post up the B26 numbers tomorrow, so that anyone who looks this up in the future can see it, The Hydraulic thumb is 2k parts only. Im 100% sure i can install it but have heard its a real pain in the... The tractor can run a hammer also if I add that kit, this would be nice esp since i have some concrete that needs to go. If i cant get that to bolt on I still may go with the hydro kit. Ill post measurements either way.

Sorry to hear it didnt work out. It will burn the pocketbook, but you will be happier with the hydraulic thumb :)

This is where the good times come to an end, the bucket design seems to be totally different... Its a decent amount bigger mounts on the B26.

I'm looking for a mechanical thumb on my B26. What did you end up getting or doing?
