    Yet Another First Tractor Thread

No need to get FEL auto leveling on this machine. You loose lift capacity and it is already limited as it is. The purpose is for pallets or hay bales mainly on much larger machines. If you are getting a snow blower, you should strongly consider a cab. If not you are going to be covered in...

    B2301 Promo Pricing until 12/31/19 - Thoughts?

At 0 for 60m you arent saving a penny between the machines. If you can afford the 60m payment I would go with the B2601.

New guy, first tractor, cant decide

If you have room to push the snow, a front blade is best. A back blade looses its luster when you have a foot or so to move and you want it nice and clean...because the tires will have already run over the snow before you scrape it. Also if you have a big snow and not enough ground clearance...

New guy, first tractor, cant decide

With no cab a snow blower can be miserable. I would go with a plow however the tractors you are looking at are very light weight. Are there others around you in the area that use compact tractors for this? Can you chat with them about experiences? In my area it would be a big no, but I don’t...

New guy, first tractor, cant decide

Do you need a cab? I would also hire out the driveway....a small tractor is not suited for this type of work. Maybe a B26TLB...but they are much more expensive.

    So confused ;) L4701 vs. MX5800 vs. M5660

We have a M7060 (father on 100 acre farm). It is a big machine, and marketed as an entry Ag utility tractor. I would never put a BH on one of these machines. They are already pretty far off the ground and you would loose digging depth. They are designed for field work, but if you have a...

New to the site and going to look at a tractor!!

The quickest way to tear a BH up is to dig out stumps. A BH is made for digging dirt, not wood reinforced by dirt. Do your best to remove all of the dirt around the main roots (ie address from a star formation) before you start trying to break them.

    Loader Options for B3350HSDC

My vote is to get rid of it if you can recover your cost. Based on all of the issues I wound not want it in my barn. It might be fine now....but they will likely creep up. Get rid of it while you can.

    First Tractor Recommendation

Congrats on the soon to be purchase! R4s are also much thicker in general (6 ply vs 2 ply etc). They will resist punctures especially in the sidewall. Unless you tractor is in the field all day or you really need the added traction I would stick with R4.

Is Kubota the only brand that packages Tractor, financing, and insurance?

You dont have to use Kubota insurance. You just to have a financed machine insured.

Advice on what equipment to get next

Either do it with your own machine or hire it out. Preference to hiring out. Brush clearing of this nature is a brutal task.

    Trying to decide - B2601 or B2650

Have you looked at a B26 TLB? If you are leaving the BH on all the time anyway, this is the machine to get. It is really easy to take off as well.

    Need some quick buying advice

I am disappointed the dealer took the B3350 in for repair and didnt work with you on an alternate machine. Based on everything I have read on the machine, you will likely have issues again. I looked very closely at this tractor a couple of years ago. It is unfortunate to hear.

    Need some quick buying advice

How concerned are you with rutting up the fields? The L3901 is heavier than the B3350 by around 800 lbs. Why not a B2650? Is the field really hilly? How wide is the finish mower?

    Help picking grapple for L2501

SCG0554 is for a BX. I would probably not go below a SCG06 (which is for a B). The 0554 weights 180 lbs...that is very light. The EA version has 30 more lbs of steel on it. The 06 is 250 or so. If you really really need it the 0554 will work. Just dont go trying to ground engage with it...

Need help deciding B2650 or L 3301 series

If you dont add ballast to a B2650 you wont be cutting in any roadway. Not enough weight to engage the ground well. You would need the rears filled and the heaviest implements for that size machine you can get. If you add ballast to the B2650 with a mower uphill...you may struggle in much...

    Advice on buying L3560

Which box blade and finish mower are they trying to sell you? I hope it isnt the bottom of the barrel models. If they are then I would kill the deal.

    Advice on buying L3560

The reason it hasn***8217;t sold is the loader. No one wants that gimpy loader on a nice heavy machine. The difference in the loader costs online at Kubotausa is about $1200. See if they will add $1000 and give you the better loader...then its a deal IMO. Also if it has been sitting outside...

New mx5200 3point hitch wont drop

Yes, fully read your manual before operating the machine. I am not saying it to be callous, but there really is necessary information on every machine you should be aware of. Please please read the manual, then read it again. It might save your life :)
