Is a cab a wise purchase

You cant get a cab on the 3301. The dealer probably has one sitting in inventory and just wants you to help clear it :) For a cab, you will need to bump up to the Grand L series. Welcome to the top tier of compact Kubota tractors!

    KX040-4 Question...

I cant think of a reason, but maybe a few of the mechanics on the site have some ideas. I would get it if you ever think a breaker or one of those super fancy swivel buckets is in your future.

    Considering Kubota

Before you head down that costly path, have you exhausted options to correct the issue with the 5065e? Greentractortalks.com, TBN forums, dealer, Deere, etc? Kubota makes a fantastic machine, but so do many other brands. You came to a Kubota forum, so you also want to consider posting this on...

What would you buy for this lawn/property?

That is a lot of dirt work for a BX, but if you have the time then it will get the job done. You have the perfect setup for a BX with 1.5 acres. Regarding a backhoe...if you can think of tasks you would use it for over the next 5-10 years then it might make sense to get it now. Buying later...

    First Tractor Purchase Coming up

Without a doubt, a Skid Steer is the best option. A snow pusher, pallet forks, and a grading scraper or maybe even get by with a bucket. It is amazing what one can do with a SS, a bucket, and some experience. Is the property fairly flat (ie not hilly)? Have you considered maneuverability...

Horse Farm - 1st Time Tractor Buyer

Are you lifting the bales from a high stack? If so consider that reach. If you want a cab, Grand L or M series. M series is a full farm utility tractor (geared). If no cab, you can look at the Standard L series, or MX.

10-15% Below MSRP before or after incentives?

While I would not condone creating fraudulent documents, it is a good idea to shop around. Get 3 or more quotes form area dealers and maybe even one or 2 from larger outfits that may ship (Messicks, etc). Get the best deal you can then take that to your local. I would not worry about the...

    best older tractor

Subcompact tractors (probably a good size for your needs) have come a long way in the past 20 years. Backhoes and FELs are easily removed and attached, SSQA on the front loader, and many other updates. This is the one class of machine where you may consider newer rather than older. In...

    Question for you guys...

It will probably take you less time to dig 2 separate 5” trenches a foot apart than to dig 1 wider (no ditch witch). As long as you have drop in both I would Y into 2 separate lines.

Snowblower Front mount or rear PTO - Thoughts?

It is going to take an hour or so to get it on. You often need to remove the FEL (make sure you get a quick attach/detach), then bolt on a subframe mount, then attach the mid PTO and blower. It is probably one of the more difficult implements you will hook up, which is why you only want to do...

    Moving Trailer With Tractor

Just dont bend your FEL arms up! Rear ballast is going to be a must, you will be putting strain on the front axle. I guess it really depends on the size of the RV, but if we are talking 5th wheel I assume it is pretty hefty :). My parents have a place in Eustace just down the road from you!

Snowblower Front mount or rear PTO - Thoughts?

I would say front if you wont need to take it on and off except for the snow season. If you also want a plow option, then you might want a rear blower. However I agree front is the way to go. I would probably get a plow for my truck before I considered a rear blower.

Smallest Kubota with cab and gear trans?

Paul can you please post the issues you are having with the B2650 on OTT? There are a number of folks here that can probably help. To me your issues sound correctable. To answer your question, I didnt see one available either. Gear in a super small machine is hard. You can probably find an...

Nice machine, thanks for sharing the picture. Don’t worry, Flip will get himself right side up someday ;)

    Think I'm done.

Of course its ridiculous. It is a construction machine. I looked hard at them as well. Here are a few comments: 1. Every attachment is more expensive with hydraulics. 2. Harder to repair and more expensive 3. Most farming tasks are out (plowing, harrow, seeding, cutting, etc) 4. No...

    Think I'm done.

Do you need to trailer that SVL anywhere? How about mowing? It weighs over 9000 lbs. With your U25, seems like a B2650 loader and ZT mower combo would be in order. Trifecta!

    Newbie - BX2680

Just make sure spacers dont void warranty. Kubota told me after market spacers would. The cab adds a lot of weight makes these machines top heavy. Make sure they get the cab installed properly and sealed up well (read a few stories where they weren’t). I agree see if the dealer can install...

    Think I'm done.

Do you still need the tractor to mow? If yes would you consider a finish mower for the rear? Lift capacity bumps are significant from the BX to the B2601 or B2650. If it fits your budget and maneuverability needs the B2650 is more machine. Also dont expect a tractor to have the same...

    What to buy?

Is that 40HP to the PTO or 40HP output engine? Is anyone pulling an 8ft rotary cutter with a L4060? With a $25k budget you are looking used. The Grand L is a luxury line of machines for Kubota, so they come with a premium price. L4760 cab HST new no loader is $41k msrp. For field mowing...
