I am actually appreciative and thankful for 2 things: Correction on my spelling and that someone actually knew what "(sp?)" meant. Good job , eh

    Noob looking for a tractor

You've been given some great advice so far, so I won't contradict any of that. If money is a concern and you don't have allergies and a little cold won't bother you, skip the cab. Also, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the woods, cabs can be expensive (and costly to repair. (trees may jump...

Checking fluid in front axle - BX1880

Yeah, it's not easy to pull out.

As a test, I was thinking about this thread last night when I was doing some driveway maintenance scraping grass, digging down, leveling potholes etc. For a change, I put it in HI range and when I got really "dug-in" in one spot, floored the treadle pedal. Loud HST noise and a no go condition...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Did some driveway maintenance after I got home from work. (no pix of that) but these two gals were watching me for a while. When I veered off the driveway and drove towards them, EVENTUALLY they decided to run. Not a chance I could ever get close to them with the car (have tried) but I seem to...

Oh! Good point. and, in case you're new. It's not a "gas pedal", so "less is more" on the treddle/tredal (sp?) pedal actually works better ;-)

My baby tractor (BX) will certainly scream at me if I try to push it past its limits. (too much in bucket, on forks, snowblower plowed into a solid bank of ice,.....whatever) Normal? I guess so. . .

    HF Quick Hitch questions...again

Tractorgal, This is not a dig or picking nits, but it may be beneficial to fill out in your profile to at least what kind of tractor you have so the best advise can usually be offered moving forward when questions come up. I am sure some reading this thread (at least I was) wondering what...

    BX2380 G3> Seat Questions. Should I upgrade?

poking a little fun (*); not "heckling". No mean spirit involved whatsoever. (hard to come across with simple words on the Internet)_ Seems like you've done some searching (so you may have already read the following) but I mostly solved my "rough ride" when mowing by running "slightly" lower...

    BX2380 G3> Seat Questions. Should I upgrade?

How far do you travel on your tractor?

Does your insurance cover you "off site" ? If it does and you don't have tire chains, I'd make the 7 mile trip in 2wd for a friend, sure. If there's any chance you'd be travelling dawn/dusk/night, make sure you have lotsa lights and mirrors/seatbelt wouldn't hurt.

Go out and look at your seat and tell us what you see. (I already know the answer) o_O

Thought it was hydrolocked, but it’s not

THIS, right here. I've only been a member here a couple years (but a member of a Classic car forum another 23+ years) and a bike forum about another 6+ years. If I had a dollar every time someone swore up and down the battery (and/or cables) were "good", "very good" , "new" or "look ok" and...

    BX2380 G3> Seat Questions. Should I upgrade?

Why don't you get some seat time in, then decide?

I like Orange. The BX2380 is being considered.

I think you can, but then I'd be pulling pins and swiveling 4 wheels (x2) for every removal/installation, which, to me anyways, is a PITA, lol.

Check the fluid level on the front axle. Many Bx's seem to be coming from the factory, low.

PaulL gave you some good advice. Forks - absolutely ! (#2) (#1 for me was front snowblower, but I'm weird that way--living in the snowbelt) For the deck, personally, I found it easier to just hook a common 15' towstrap to it and while standing up, pull it through(under) the machine. Same for...
