As long as you aren't expecting something unrealistic, like to lift a 1400lb pallet of bricks out of the bed of a tall pickup truck), I think you'll be very happy with your BX2380. Lifting power is really the biggest downfall. Most other jobs just have to be done slower, longer or differently...

I love my BX. It's exactly what I wanted, but I used a TG1860 for 15yrs before buying it, so knew EXACTLY the limitations of a small machine. Wait until Hagrid weighs in on this thread! (LOL) Make sure to research ALL SPECS to insure it's exactly to your needs (and future needs)

Just as one idea, have you checked the hydraulic fluid level in the front axle Serge>? (and did you check the torque on the lug nuts as suggested by the Wolfman- NIWM ?

We're all talking about the fuel cutoff solenoid and not the starter solenoid, correct? Grab, move and hold the plunger in the \opposite direction to wherever it is when the things running. (presumably it's outside running right now, correct?)

2nd afterthought. What cthomas already said. If you are checking your switches with the wiring still attached that's probably not advisable. The way an Ohmmeter works is to put a small current (9v battery is your source) through a circuit and send it out. What you may be seeing is capacitors...

Don't forget to touch the meter leads together before doing your continuity test. Why? Because, the leads themselves have SOME resistance. The cheaper the meter or leads (or with age comes broken strands) comes higher resistance. So, it would not surprise me to see 0.3 Ohms (300 milliOhms)...

That means TAKE IT APART...take some sandpaper (or whatever) to it, until both surfaces are shiny. Reassemble.
