I never use my backhoe during winter, at least so far, after 15 years. What makes me happy is looking down at my shed and knowing it is there when I need it. Today, tomorrow and yesterday, same story! :)

Perhaps so. But the point I was trying to make is that it probably makes no practical difference whether a BX has 21 or 23 HP. The exception would be if you were using something requiring highest possible PTO HP. Not sure if the recommended size implements for a BX will max out the BX PTO...

15W40 in both my tractors year round. Pushing 16 years and about 1,700 hours on the B2910, around 1,200 hours on the BX2200. Southwestern PA. No issues and no oil consumption between oil changes, which are usually overdue when done. :eek:

I had a rear finish mower when I first bought my tractor. It cut real nice, but the problem I had was cutting around things. I have a small pond and as I cut around it the back end of the tractor swung the finish mower away from the pond’s edge. Same story for just about anything else you want...

Just curious. Was reading a thread elsewhere where someone was considering using a 5’ shredder with his BX. I never considered doing that as I use my five footer on the B2910. Anyone here use a five foot brush hog on their BX? If so, how well did the BX handle it?

I have both. For your needs I would prefer the trailer ball on the bucket. For pulling my dump trailer some distance (especially multiple times) a ball on the back is preferable. Either will work.

Is this inner filter a mesh filter like on my B2910? If so, it would keep pieces of the outer filter out of the engine, but not dust. OR is the inner filter actually a second air filter similar to the primary filter? Just showing my ignorance I suppose. :o

How many hours on your BX? Mine had a little over 1,200 when I noticed 4wd was not working and found the u-joint missing. Wonder why your splines show excessive wear? The fit of the new u-joint on my shaft seemed good but I did not look that carefully. I will have to look at the original...
