    BX23 U-Joint: Aftermarket Part

That end of the u-joint is fixed in position by the roll pin. Curious why you attribute the issue to splines wearing. Not saying that you are not right. I think the installation orientation of the split in the roll pin is given somewhere. I remember seeing an illustration. I believe the...

B7800 HST fluid overfilled, experienced issues in low and mid gear

B7800 HST fluid overfilled, experienced issues in low and mid gear

I just changed the hydraulic fluid in my B 2910, which is the same tractor as yours with a couple deluxe features. I have never had a problem after changing the hydraulic fluid, but I always just add and keep checking the fill level on the dipstick, and stop when it at the full Mark. I think...

    BX23 U-Joint: Aftermarket Part

Coincidence, but I lost the front U-joint on my BX 2200 last week. It’s the one closer to the transmission shaft. (Really lost- the roll pin that holds it on broke and it fell off) Anyway, the replacement from Kabota was about 83 bucks. I got it from Coleman equipment with some other things I...

    RCK60B23BX gearbox issues

Looks like a great deal for $1200. Here’s the link: (hope links are allowed) https://chattanooga.craigslist.org/grd/d/pikeville-kubota-bx-60-inch-mower-deck/6969911611.html

Is dual aux hydraulics is worth the extra $1300

Do you have a need for them? If so then probably worth the cost. I added my own years ago for less than that, but prices increase. I have four remotes, but only use three of them. Three have check valves, one has float. Consider if you want check valves in the remotes or a float function...

    B2910 battery light

A while back I was using my backhoe on my B 2910, and I noticed the alternator light was on. I figured I would check it later, but the engine overheated. Turns out the fan belt broke. So my advice would be to change the belt and see if it makes a difference. On mine, at purchase I upgraded to...

    Wheel spacers on BX23

I got curious and checked my BX2200 with 60” MMM. On the right side there is about 2.5” or a little more clearance between the tire and the anti scalp wheel bracket. But on the left side there is exactly 1.5” clearance between the tire and the anti scalp bracket. If I were looking for...

    tires leaking

I foam filled the tires on the front of both my tractors close to 15 years ago and have never noticed any issues. If I remember correctly the BX 2200 foam filled front tires weighed about 80 pounds each total after filling. I remember walking into the shop with one tire in each hand. When I...

Selling BX turfs but where and how much?

I have a set of BX turf tires and wheels that I would probably expect to get $200 for if I sold them. For that amount I will just keep them. But storage is not an issue for me. In my case, if I were to trade my BX in on a newer model, I would put the turfs on it and keep my foam filled ag...

Good price for B2650 turf tires/rims

If that price is for a set of tires/wheels for your tractor, and if they are in good/great condition, AND if you really think they would be useful to you, I would jump on them for that price. That being said, years ago I bought a set of turf tires/wheels for my BX2200. The ONLY time I used...

    tires leaking

Foam fill your front tires. Flats will soon be forgotten, at least on the front tires. Fronts are small and not that expensive to foam fill. Did it on both my tractors over a decade ago. Voice of experience talking. :)

    B2910 clutch

I have a B2910 that is about 15 years old. Bought it new. The clutch is not really used much. Yes, you push it in to start the tractor, and maybe when using a brush hog or post hole digger. But basically not much. Honesty, if I were buying a used B2910 the clutch would not be a major concern...

    Filthy tractors versus clean ones

Hi Flip, You are to be commended! My guess is that I probably really wash my tractors about once every twenty years. Just an guess as they are about 15 or 16 years old now....:D

    Accident. Kubota Insurance question...

Once you get it back on its wheels, don’t try to start it. There is always the chance that fluids could have accumulated in the cylinders and if so bent connecting rods can result. This may be behind you already...hope so. Wonder if the Kubota insurance covers engine damage due to starting...

    L3800 wheel spacing and stability

I could certainly be wrong, but it looks like the setup in the picture only offers one more opportunity to make the wheels wider, perhaps an inch or so per side? Am I missing something? Won’t be the first time...

    Rolled a L4701

Re read Shootem604’s post. Did you try to start it after righting it OR NOT? If you did not try starting it someone at the rental place probably did and caused the bent rod. If you did try to start it, you likely caused the bent rod. Like SidecarFlip said, running it on the side without...

    I have temp access to both R1s and R4s for a B2650

Small world...my daughter graduated from Grove City some years ago... With all this rain we have been having, do you have a soft wet area you can drive across (through might be a better word). I have R4 tires on my B2910 (same size rear tires as yours) and they don’t perform well in the mud...
