Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

Always good practice. But don't just look at the stroke lengths, etc. Be sure to look at the mounts on either end of the cylinder. Will they fit in the available space? Can they (or the tractor) be "filed to fit"? If so, will other factors like port locations cause interference? Will the...

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

Interesting points. I wonder if there is a difference between the control valves for each? The Kubota system as a whole is serial in nature (ie: open centre). But within my aftermarket joystick control, the pair of spool valves are actually in parallel, supplies isolated from each other by...

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

Well I don't mean to compare it with a backhoe <lol>. However, the bucket lip should be able to go 2" or 3" lower than the plane of the tires. Due to the geometry of the loader arms, it doesn't take much difference in cylinder length to make a big difference in bucket height -- at either end of...

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

They do mention that the retracted length of their cylinders is the same as OEM. That should ensure the digging depth is unchanged. They are apparently just extending the travel by making the outer cylinder slightly longer. This would not necessarily apply to other suggestions of using...

    Bx24 rear fender

Have you thought about taking it to a local body shop and having it plastic-welded? Or is it too far gone for that?

    Real masters on equipment

I once saw a crane operator gently tap someone's hard hat with the hook to get their attention. It would have given the safety inspector a heart attack. There's no way I could ever be that smooth and precise no matter how much practice I had, but this guy was that good.

    Snowplow hydraulics hook up

Use one pair of rear remotes and treat the pair of hoses from the plow as if they were a single double-acting cylinder. When you move the corresponding control one way, the spool valve will pressurize one cylinder and allow fluid from the other to return. IE: the extending cylinder will force...

Diesel & Gas Transfer Pump - Cross Contamination?

Pipelines alternate between products like gasoline and diesel all the time, and they can't drain the pipe in between. But... They divert the first bit of new product to a holding tank called "transmix". Basically using the new product to flush the old product. If you are going to use one pump...

    Stuck on a tree stump

Loaders are accessories, added after the fact. They may be Kubota-branded or may be from a 3rd party. Some are powered off the tractor's own hydraulic system but many loaders for these machines have a separate hydraulic system with it's own fluid reservoir and pump. The reservoir is usually the...

    Stuck on a tree stump

OK, having established that it is a hydraulic oil leak in the tractor's system, and seems to be on the left side of the tractor, that points to the HST supply piping. Some likely culprits are one of the pipes hanging down under the tractor with joints above -- such as #050 or #130. Neither are...

...and then someone yelled "Look....a Squirrel!!!"......A fun way to get even further behind on your "to do list"

The parts may well have been machined in the USA, but it seems the country of manufacture depends a lot on where you live. ;-) Nice job. Up here we actually call that a finger brake. One tip: I've found the shop-press brake attachment works best if the work is centred under the hydraulic ram...

    Stuck on a tree stump

Depending on the model, the bare B7100 weighs in between 1,200 and 1,300 lbs. With loader and box blade he could well be in the 2,000lb range.

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

I have been supplying 1" OD o-rings based on what my machine had between the block and the cover. I just had some feedback that the o-ring was too large, and that the OEM o-ring in one particular B7100 was 7/8" OD. Has anyone else found the o-rings I supplied were too large?

Diesel vs Propane Home Backup Generator

New generator checklist: 1) buy appropriate generator 2) buy interlock safety switch 3) hire licensed electrician to install above. A pilot, doesn't get to pick and choose which checklists he or she agrees with. I mean seriously, you wouldn't take off without, say, flaps installed for example...

    Deed Question regarding survey description

Here in Ontario, that's called "merged on title" and it's automatic if two (or more) adjacent parcels are acquired by the same owner. If you want to keep them separate, you must have separate ownerships -- eg: lot 1 in your name, lot 2 in your wife's name, lot 3 in your name again, etc. But...

    B7100 fuel injector?

If the engine is running, it's easy to figure out which injector is affected. Simply loosen the line fitting on top of the injector, one cylinder at a time. If the engine rpm drops, then that injector is doing something. If it doesn't, you found the bad one. Now leave it cracked open for a few...

Is this oil suitable for my 2002l3710 hst??

PetroCan seems to be well aware of the difference. They list regular Duratran (conventional) as a suitable replacement for UDT and Duratran XL (semi-syn) as equivalent to SUDT2. What is weird is that I don't think Petro Canada sells in the US, and SUDT-2 is not available up here.

Is this oil suitable for my 2002l3710 hst??

Duratran XL is actually the only one that claims it meets SUDT-2. All the others I've seen only lay claim to UDT.
