B7100 Backhoe setup…. Is this the correct way?

A couple of other details: The HD top link bracket from Kubota is part number 70050-93214 ANY backhoe REQUIRES installation of a Front End Loader with subframe!!! I can't stress this enough. You will break your tractor in half without a subframe running from the rear axle to the front bumper...

B7100 Backhoe setup…. Is this the correct way?

That's a Kubota-badged Woods BH650. Here is the Woods manual for their version: https://picturehosting.verhey.org/file/Woods_BH650-BH750.pdf Kubota sold them for use with the B9200 and a variety of L series tractors. I don't think it was ever supposed to be paired with the B7100. The 3ph...

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions"....(Finally upgrading my tool post)

That still beats counting turns of a handwheel! The Sinpo has a lot of features that are pretty much useless for lathe work, but can be real handy when milling -- bolt hole circles, radius smoothing, angles, etc. I don't use them often, but sometimes they can be real useful. If you ever get...

I have the 3 axis version of that Sinpo. Now when I make a mistake, I can make it with 0.0002" precision.

OR buy a dovetail cutter and make your own. That's what I did when I converted my lathe to QCTP.

    Backhoe Owners poll.......

That's how I got mine. The seller got it as part of a package with his tractor, never used it, got tired of storing it and put it up for sale at a bargain basement price (by today's standards, probably close to what he paid originally) just to get it out of the way. That said, I stumbled on a...

    B7100 seized.

If you are asking me, then I found my problem in this post. However, the issue was not that the subframe wasn't connected to the rear axle -- it was -- the issue was the subframe was not connected to the rear of the engine as well as the front of the transmission and the front of the tractor. My...

    Trailer Brakes Getting Hot

Interesting observation. I have had a trailer come around under icy conditions and can see where that might be of benefit under those specific circumstances. But it seems to me that not installing brakes on one of the axles is a bit too permanent. One could install a switch, or even just an...

Hydraulic leak when I use PTO

Degrease & hose it down. Let it dry and dust it with flour. Then run it for a short period of time. The flour will highlight the leak path.

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

I don't believe this will fit an L3301. It is only known to fit older L and B series tractors. You would have to verify if the machine has a hydraulic block and then compare dimensions of your cover to the dimensions given in the first post of this thread. Status update: Not as far along as I...

Household Appliance Maintenance: Share Your Successes and Failures

Our last washing machine died a premature death due to the spider (3 arms that hold the drum) corroding away. Aluminium + detergent = aluminium oxide. Was not available as a separate part from Whirlpool, just the entire drum assembly, 3/4 the cost of a new machine. I bought a Maytag "Commercial...

Did the dealer give me the wrong hydro filter?

One thing I found interesting: Googling the "correct" filter number produce a lot of hits for aftermarket filters "replacement for" the 66021-36060 . All of which were more expensive than the real deal from a Kubota dealer. Up to 3x more expensive!

Did the dealer give me the wrong hydro filter?

Well certainly not at Starbucks. But around here a large double-double is $1.99 at Tims.

Did the dealer give me the wrong hydro filter?

I have a B7100. Previously have used filter number HH660-36060. It's white with blue print and I always keep one of each filter in stock and replace the stock when I use it. So last time apparently the dealer gave me a K2561-36990. Just opened the familiar orange and blue box now and the...

Older B5200 with 4520A Backhoe Question

The flip side of that is that hydraulic oil temperature increases with flow rate (rpm). The pressure relief valve will limit the pressure, but it does so by dumping the excess flow back to the reservoir, not by reducing the overall flow rate through the pump. So if you find yourself trying to...

Older B5200 with 4520A Backhoe Question

That is the engine speed where your low range PTO speed will be 540rpm. Usually a tractor is geared so the engine is making max HP at that speed -- great if you are blowing snow, etc. But using a PTO pump powered backhoe, there's little to no increase in digging force and a beginner will likely...

Older B5200 with 4520A Backhoe Question

Run the PTO in the low range. Engine speed 2,000 rpm or so -- faster if the movement is too slow, slower if it is too touchy.
