New to forum, new machine bought sight unseen. B2400 HST

Prototype? Custom? One-off? Whatever you want to call it, mine is still doing all I ask of it: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/yet-another-b7100-fel-build.26262/

How are your metal fabrication skills? If you can weld, you can ignore the naysayers and build your own.

Eastern Beaver can be a good source for hard-to-find OEM style connectors.

Kubota B7100 4x4 pilot bushing help

As others have implied, you don't have to match the splines, just the ID of the splines and the ID of the pilot. That will hold the clutch disk centered on the crankshaft while you torque down the mounting bolts, after that the springs will keep it in place.

    R.I.P The beloved Garden Tractor

It seems somebody forgot to tell MTD. And Troy-built. And Cub Cadet. They're still making (or at least selling under their respective names) blowers and snow blades and sprayers and carts and baggers along with their lawn and garden tractors.

    Inexpensive Snow Blower Upgrade!

Looks great! The only comment I have is consider inverting the linear actuator, so that moisture can't run down the piston into the mechanism.

Kubota B7100 4x4 pilot bushing help

What, exactly, are the symptoms you are experiencing? Was the bushing an OEM one sourced from Kubota, or an aftermarket one? I know (oh boy do I know!) that it can be tricky getting the FWD shaft engaged while inserting the transmission shaft through the clutch at the same time -- they are on...

Kubota B7100 4x4 pilot bushing help

The bushing has an acetal (eg: Delrin) coating on the inside. It is essentially self-lubricating and should last for years and years in normal use.

Kubota B7100 4x4 pilot bushing help

The CV joint is still hanging in there. I did intend to replaced it over the summer, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions as they say and I had too many other demands on my time. As the man who fell off the 20 story building was heard to say passing the 10th floor: "Well, so far so...

Kubota B7100 4x4 pilot bushing help

Actually, my pilot bushing was fine (as noted here in the referenced thread). It was the clutch that kept failing. Where did you get the parts? OEM or aftermarket? Did you check the flywheel for runout when you had things apart? What symptoms are you having that makes you think the pilot...

    What Government Mandates Save Lives?

I've been a firefighter for more than 35 years now, and attended more than my share of roadside carnage. There is absolutely a huge difference in the injury rate of similar vehicle collisions (note that I don't classify them as "accidents") between today and yesteryear. It cannot all be...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

I agree. Maybe a mod could split this off into it's own thread? I just hate to see the guy go to the time and effort only to discover it won't work. The angle of the cylinder at the start of the lift will make a huge difference. Remember that with the cylinder as fulcrum, the force required...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

200 bar is about 2,900 psi, so that pump would be capable of higher pressure than the tractor.

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

Well he does call it a "bidirectional cylinder". But when he says "manual pump" I'm not so sure it's double acting. And i am curious what size cylinder it takes to lift a 400 lb load on the end of a 26' long lever that weighs another 1,700 lbs. Is there a hose to each end of the cylinder? Let...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

What is the diameter and stroke of the cylinder? If the tractor does not have sufficient fluid capacity, it could still be used to run a PTO pump and external reservoir.

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

The pump is behind the sidecover, hidden by the air intake. I can see the line that comes from the pump and there's definitely no block. No diverter under the seat either, which really surprises me. Maybe very early model or maybe the Japanese home market didn't get them (the one visible warning...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

Further on the available fluid volume and single-acting vs double acting: My FEL has 4 double acting cylinders, each 2" diameter bore and 16" stroke with a 1.25" diameter piston. To extend one piston (as with a single acting cylinder) requires (2/2)1^2(pi) x 16" or 50.26 cu. in. of fluid so...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

If you don't have the block, there IS probably another option. Under the front of the seat you should have a hydraulic power take-off valve and port. Like so: Two issues. 1. you can't use the 3ph simultaneously -- it's either/or. The valve diverts the fluid flow from the 3ph lift cylinder to...
