14lbs of country ribs on the smoker. They were rubbed before going on the smoker. Started with natural lump (oak) charcoal and mesquite firewood. Followed by some hickory firewood an hour ago.

Will tray, then season with some cider vinegar and sweet baby rays about 1. Then in the oven at 250 till 5pm tonight 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Gonna have corn on the cob, summer squash and a salad to go with it 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Not cooking but eating.

My sawmill stays at my Son's place when it is idle and this morning I was checking it over for tomorrow's sawing.

It can't be my fault that his Blueberry bushes are loaded and the berries are starting to ripen......

Sooooo, I picked a hat full to add to my breakfast cereal for the next few days. ;)

Asparagus, the way it has to be eaten: harvested before it comes through he surface and turns green and fibrous. Boiled in lightly salted water, then smothered in molten butter and finished with a bit of parsley. Divine!

I foresee a fish fry in my future…..homemade French fried potatoes, mmmm.

Sounds cocky, but I’ll put my fried haddock against anything you can get in a restaurant.

(Well, I did fry 1,000’s of pounds of seafood in restaurants…).

I still don’t like breading the stuff, almost as much as I dislike peeling shrimp. I’ve had plenty of practice….but it’s still one of my favorites for fish, shrimp and scallops.

Honestly, my homemade French fries aren’t that great. Good, but not great.

That sounds good and hearty on a cold day, skeets!

My fish fry isn't good planning for today at 90 degrees and very humid.

I started work at a restaurant one time, and a cook gave me a tour.

In the freezer were 2-10 lb. cases of gnocchi.

He said he couldn't understand why his gaa-NOT-chee specials didn't sell in the winter.....

Told him it was probably the presentation.....

Going to keep my Rectec 590 cranking all weekend. I did bacon wrapped pork tenderloin last night. Doing wings tonight, ribs tomorrow, and smoking a butt for Monday.

July 4th dinner is with a bonfire.

Got the grill going with sausage and salt potatoes on the side burner.

Have two burners going for lobsters and little neck clams.
