RCW, a long time ago when I was a young boy I was over at my Granny's house where I stayed a lot she was my buddy. I was maybe 12, she had cooked drop biscuits for dinner, one of my favorites. I do miss them she has been gone for years now. I thought I would clean her biscuit pan, I mean it was black except for right in the middle. I scrubbed and scrubbed it till it was nearly like new and shiny again. Ole that was a bad idea, she did not kill me but let me know not to do that again.Last night….pizza and chicken fajitas. Also some herb garlic knots. A couple Rosemary and oregano. Others sage and thyme.

That reminds me of one of the kids , friends that got some cast iron fomr her grannies place when she passed, the kid said no wonder granny got sick, cooking in that nasty iron stuff. So she stuffed them inthe dishwasher a couple times. Yeah she learned the hard way too ..RCW, a long time ago when I was a young boy I was over at my Granny's house where I stayed a lot she was my buddy. Seeing you pan and the seasoning on it reminded me of that from 30+ years ago.
Dinner looks good and thanks for helping bring back an old memory.

Can you give me some hints about the tomato sauce? I looked up a couple recipes, and there seem to be lots of options for the tomato part, one recipe called for a cup of white wine which I scrounged and put in fridge. Have a pound of frozen shrimp and all kinds of veggies. Don't have anything except tabasco sauce and chile flakes, but I don't like things real hot. Never had it so making it "to taste" won't work since I'm not sure what to aim for. Thanks! This is the leftover.....wasn't smart enough to take a pic earlier.
Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Linguini fini pasta. Veg are zucchini, onions, peppers, mushrooms.
The herbs came from our herb garden just outside the kitchen window.
As my dear mother says...."that's good shit.."
