    L5240 Oil pan

I see the site is working again tonight. Checked with local dealer today and learned that many pans do have lower covers bolted, but they are not available separately. Options are find a used one, patch what we have, or a new pan, which may or may not have the removable sections. Guess I'll try...

    L5240 Oil pan

Guess I didn't crawl under far enough. Sure looked like two separate parts each bolted independently. Wonder why it doesn't show up in parts lists/ Site is still down on my end. Hard to find a price without a part number.

    L5240 Oil pan

I get called to look at this 5240 today for a problem with rock damage to the oil pan. It's a DT model with a tunnel for the propeller shaft, two sumps, two drain plugs. On the bottom of each sump is what appears to be a cast aluminum cover with a row of bolts securing each to the main body of...

    l4630 Tach question

Any one know how the tach operates on the L4630 HST? It appears to be electronic but can't tell for sure without opening things up. A quick look under the hood and I didn't see a cable anywhere. This one suddenly developed a problem where it goes from 0 to 1500 and stops there no matter high the...

    thepumpguysc

I agree he's out to drum up work. He shows up on a number of different forums pretty much doing the same thing. Is he fair and honest in his work and his pricing? Who knows? I've been looking for someplace to send pumps for repair for a few months. The place I've been using for the past few...

Mower Gearbox RC54 Rebuild Help G1800

You're wasting your time trying to deal with the bearing from the top. Just get after it, remove the gearbox, open it up and replace what's needed. Even if the damaged bearing would come out the top, the shrapnel is now everywhere down below, in all the other bearings, and more failures are coming.

    M135GX Shuttle Shift Problem

Not exactly one of the "knowledgeable members" on this site, but my experience with computer controlled transmissions has shown that your symptom (if NOT accompanied by an error code) is usually the shuttle switch itself or the related wiring. It often gets more use than most other switches in...

Any chance I could get a piece of that too?

    M125X Hydraulic issue

I've studied the above posted parts diagram many times. I concluded that the filter base has two filters, each connected to a common supply tube from the rear housing. Each pump has it's own suction tube leading from the filter base. I've always assumed they draw fluid from a common filtered oil...

    M125X Hydraulic issue

Unclear on the question. This is the hydraulic pump. The two pumps are side by side on top of the rear housing directly below the seat. From the rear this one is to the left of center, the transmission pump is to the right of center. They both drive from what the parts list refers to as the PTO...

    M125X Hydraulic issue

No doubt you know Kubota far better than I do, so your opinions would be valued. I had planned to replace at least the suspect hose connector and the lower O ring as a next step. The O rings on the lower tube may come later if that fails to make any improvement, but since the steering pump has...

    M125X Hydraulic issue

I'm back with this M125X yesterday, The issue this time seems to be the hydraulic pump itself. Over recent months it has developed a problem picking up prime. When first started in the morning the hydraulics don't work until the engine is revved up to nearly full throttle for twenty or thirty...

    Positive Battery Cable Melted

Quite a variety of opinions and theories on this one. Most (including this one) will probably prove to be wrong. Anyway, here's my take on it. Other than a battery and a cable, there's nothing else wrong with the electrical system. The original post states the cable melted 3/4 of the length...

    Another remote valve question

If it won't release at low idle I have to wonder if the system is reaching the required pressure? Do you hear the system relief valve and the engine grunt when the gate tops out?

    Another remote valve question

If they are not adjustable, is there a spec for the pressure under which the loaded circuit can continuously operate before the valve should cancel?

    Another remote valve question

I still haven't gotten around to all the issues on the M125X. Today's question involves the detent valves used on this and probably other M series tractors as well. I'm assuming the pressure at which the valve cancels and returns to neutral is adjustable. If one adjusts that up, in the attempt...

Advice needed on adding hydraulic circuit

Simple solution for a single acting cylinder. The valve has two work ports. Plumb one to the lift cylinders. Plump the other to a tee into the sump return. That way your double acting valve will not build pressure while you lower your loader, effectively making it a single acting valve.

    M125X Hydraulic questions again

All I can find in the parts lists are various valve units, control levers, cables , and piping. I assume then that the flow control unit must be a whole goods item? Maybe available as an optional add on kit?

    M125X Hydraulic questions again

I was referring to adjusting flow. Many tractor brands do have individual flow control adjustments on certain remote valves their tractors can be equipped with. Not necessarily all, but some. I was wondering if Kubota supplies any valves with that capability and if so, how would that valve be...
