What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That's correct, I looked into all the similar models to see if any one model had a battery tray available
and I noticed the L 185 had a different set-up, and correct again on the little metal nubs sticking out.

Worked on s sun burn today

Leveled out a really steep portion of the yard where an old fence line used to be.

Got the grade down to where I can go any direction over it comfortably with the tractor.

Continued to work on the yard.

Extending an level area from the house. Then using that dirt to fill in wash outs going up the hill.

Ran in to a couple rocks. They only stuck up 3-5" from finished grade.

Bucket hooks and chain are nice for pulling brush and dragging rocks

Picked up a dirt scoop of off CL and installed a new Hydraulink that came Friday. Agra Supply is blowing them out for $130+sh for Cat-1.

Replaced the front headlight assembly that was broken when I got the machine, and re-sprayed the entire nose assembly. Looks much better!

Also removed a stump with my Takeuchi TB125 and backfilled the area with material with my L3710.

Box bladed the driveway back to its ~30mph status.

In the background of that picture I also moved ~1800lbs of brick on a pallet.

Lastly, moved a swingset out of my back yard and replaced it with a different one....long story...

Lol, no I have 4 girls...1yr to 13yrs....the eldest has grown out of most of the stuff, but the 1 yr old is growing into it.

The old playscape came with the house, the new one is from my wife's house. Apparently (according to my wife) my daughter needs a toy for every age and phase....since they're all hand-me downs...its not like it costs us anything (and gives me a reason to use the tractor!)

I'm moving the old playscape in the background into the woods wherever the girls pick and turning it into a treehouse. Should be a fun project!

Got the L260 almost back together. The transmission and differential bearings are all replaced, the tractor halves are back together and the rear wheels are back on. A couple more hours and it should be running.

While I had the hood off, I replaced the hoses and fan belt. Also replaced the plastic fan. The last time I used the tractor before the bearings exploded, I was getting pelted in the face by little bits of plastic coming off the fan. Appears to be original to this 40+ Yr old tractor. Its coming along nicely.

My plan is to get it running, usable and mobile, and plow and disc my garden then bring it back into the shop to make it pretty. I am taking the hood and fenders to get sandblasted. I can't decide if I'm going with powdercoating or spraying Kubota enamel yet.

Tore into our two gardens today. Removed fencing, pulled posts and getting them ready to till and rake. Moved a lot of stuff with the rear forks too - getting quite a pile of old lumber out back. It'll go in dribs and drabs this year.

My dad's and brother's tractors each have a hook that holds the top link when it's not in use. I want so lucky to have that on my tractor when I bought it.

Well, now I am.

Had some sort of rod in the scrap bin, little bending and voilà.

On top of that I've been working on wiring my tractor for the snowblower chute winch conversion. Getting there. Just waiting for connectors and relays, hopefully I can get things put together this weekend.

Used the Box blade to smooth a dirt road on the property.

Leveled off a hump on the upper side of the driveway.

Used box blade to bevel the dirt next to paved driveway.

Made a few extra parking spots by removing uphill dirt and moving it to downhill side of driveway, 2 birds with one stone.

Recently my red battery light came on and stayed on. I figured it was either a bad dyno or regulator so I decided to buy the alternator upgrade. I also wanted to upgrade the spot lights and add a canopy and second light bar. Well I finally finished these upgrades, but it did not take a single day, this was done over a couple of weekends.

Interesting note, when I finally got under the instrument panel I found why the battery light was on, there was a mouse hotel in there that I got rid of by pulling out all the debris with long needle nose pliers, but when I lifted the instrument panel I found that the dang mouse had chewed off the coating on 3 wires and completely chewed through a forth! The last wire must have had a single strand of copper that finally failed causing the red battery light.

As luck would have it, the only two wires that were mostly unscathed were the two wires needed for the alternator upgrade. I verified that the other four wires were not needed via my Kubota dealer so I cleaned them, covered them with liquid tape and left in place so as not to mess with the harness.
