Here are some a thread on front mounted pumps to give you an idea of what is needed. (These links may not get to the first page so be sure you get to the first post if you want to.)

Should be s piece of cake for a guy with a lathe. . The crankshsft pulley on my DT had three theaded holes for mounting a splined male hub. Just turn up a keyed hub to replace the splined Kubota hub and hang the pumo on the frame. Simple and well protected. Easier than the other fabrication projects you have already completed.

You can get a small 2 GPM SAE AA two bolt gear pump that will supply the PS for <$150. They are "tiny^ and max out around 4 GPM.

A much larger SAE A pump would get you a lot more flow and drive the loader but it will be harder to fit in and now you are back to also needing a flow divider.

As I said earlier in another post I find no difference with the power steering on my LX2610 than the OEM power steering that I installed on my previous B7200 HST. I think that during normal loader operation you seldom are steering at the same time that you are lifting up on the loader.

Steering while operating the loader is essential for most people.

Your LX has a separate PS pump that makes that possible.

The OEM.power steering system on a B7200 used a priority flow divider to make that possible.

I've definitely thrown my hat over the fence....paid for the BX hydraulic steering parts from Mossy Creek Outdoors today so there's no backing out now.

Just need to wait for the bits to arrive and find a pump and work out how to get it mounted.

Thanks Dan, I still like your confidence. It's always a challenge.
I’m sure you can get this done! There is nothing nearly as complex as the loader to build. Just keep asking questions and getting answers when needed.

But have you made the decision to power just the steering with a pump or are you going to do the steering and FEL both with the new pump? Sorry I have kind of lost track of your plan.

I know at the front of my L185 there is a weight bracket that bolts to the frame so there is already a ready made place to bolt on the mounting plate to hold whatever you come up with. I am pretty sure that your tractor has a similar attachment point.

You could get a 2 stage pump to replace the pump that's on it now.

I think I'll keep it "simple" and leave the loader operating from the original pump and buy a separate pump for the PS. If I make too many changes I'll never finish anything....might never finish anything even if I keep it simple.
