Zero cost shade from the Thailand sun. Wife found the umbrella in the barn. Blue pipe is to limit the rattling around. Works great.

Oh I get the shade thing I lived in the Arizona Desert for 21 years, no shade means dead!:D

Info plate says - guessing here on the translation - 3200 RPM max? and 13 ps (HP?) @ 3000 RPM guessing again that is the PTO power? Main question is how do I know the RPM's w/o a tach?

Spent the day searching the web for part #'s with no luck. I'm looking for the # for the suction screen filter as I thought it would be nice to know BEFORE I pull the screen and discover that I need a replacement. I read the service article and located mine but I might have a problem. The screen shown in the article is about 7" long. I don't have that much clearance to the fender, maybe 4-5"! I hope my screen is smaller.

Also, part #'s for glow plugs and indicator because my tractor is getting really hard to start.

Those screens are narrow enough, that as you start to remove it, it can be caulked at an angle for clearance. Might be tight, but are designed to come out with out having to disassemble half the tractor :)

I hope so. I'll still feel better knowing the part # before I tear into it ;)

Still can't find the fluid capacities. I'd rather not have a 55 gal. drum of 90W sitting around the barn and don't want to come up 1qt short when I do the service.

After an hour and a half drive to the Big City, roads crowded with trucks hauling cane, I get to the Kubota dealer so I can buy filters and it's CLOSED! No signs or anything to indicate why.

Hey Tomcat, I sent you a PM the other day as we're both B7000 owners. Just wondering if you've seen it.

Yeah, I just checked my msgs. I'm sure I'll have questions for you in the future. Thanks! :)

Will try the dealer again next week. I'm sure service can wait another week. Now I just need to get the old girl running so I can get some things done around here.

Put a good charge on the battery and the old girl fired up! Now she's parked in the shade ;)

Thanks to the article section about steering boxes and clearing the weep hole. I didn't have a small enough drill bit so I used a piece of wire with a hook on the end to clean the weep hole. A little bit of crud came out and some water. Dug around in the weep hole and more water came out. Opened the drain plug and more water! Removed the drain plug and more water! Fortunately no metal fragments. Flushed with some 90W and then plugged up and filled the box. Hope I got it before more damage done!

If you got any amount of water out of the drain on the steering box then you really should take it apart and check the lower bearing. If that is rusted it wont last and if it goes it can cause the complete failure of the box.

I'm thinking (hoping) that because I didn't have any metal fragments when draining the box and haven't had any steering problems so far that I should be ok.
