    Where does this go?

Was digging ditch for a neighbour the other day, and after we're all done, he calls me and tells me I lost this part off of the tractor. Looks like a bushing of some sort, Kubota grey to me. I have been all over the machine trying to figure out where it might have come from. Can't see anything...

    FEL Bucket Strengthening

That's a good idea and I wish I had done it. sooner. I welded a 2' square tube receiver hitch (the kind you mount underneath your vehicle with a tow hitch) so that I could use the FEL for moving trailers around. Onto this I welded three chain-hooks. (works great!) Well, on one occasion I had a...

Weight in back of your Truck

Base on personal experience, I would prefer to not put anything in the box that could become a potential projectile. Had a wooden apple box full of sand that froze in the trunk of my car once. During a very slow impact with the ditch, it came right through the back seat and probably would have...

    Mystery Tool

Can't say for sure, but it looks like it would be used to cap / uncap some kind of bottle or can?

    Front Hitch

I have a 2" hitch receiver on the top of my FEL bucket which works great, but it is somewhat limited in how big a trailer you can move. Also, the top of the bucket is often a little too high to get underneath some trailer tongues without using a big drop-hitch on the tractor. My next...

    Kubota Spinner Knob

Agreed! I lose all spatial relevance and control if I try to use just the wheel. Love having one on my boat as well.

trouble reading HST fluid on a dipstick

You would think the engineers/designers would be smart enough to use some colour other than yellow for the dipstick to measure a clear/yellow fluid.

ROPS too tall for my garage, convert to folding?

How much clearance do you need? If you have a gravel or dirt driveway, is it an option to dig it down a little to allow the tractor to clear the top of the doorway? Just a thought.

    Digging Question...

Do you have a back-hoe? Even if not, I took one of the scarifier teeth off of my box-blade and bolted it onto the side of my BH bucket. (could work on your FEL as well) Works GREAT for ripping a nice, narrow trench.

Auger/Post Hole Digger Homemade Stand Mount

Sweet! Nice and simple. Must be nice to have all that covered, flat space.

    Mounting mirrors

Depends on what you do with and where you go with your machine, but I`d have those ripped off by bush in no time! I mounted a simple 5`` convex mirror to each side on the FEL upright frame with JB Weldbond. Works great! Sticking out further would be nice, but not practical for the places I go.

    Broken Bro-Tek thumb

Received a brand spanking new thumb yesterday from Bro-Tek. He even included new clevis pins. Yay Richard! THAT, is great customer service! Now, back to work...

    Broken Bro-Tek thumb

As a follow up to the problem with the thumb: Emailed Richard at Bro-Tek, just to let him know the problem with the product. Did not ask or expect anything to be done about it. He immediately offered to send me a replacement unit, at no charge! When he says "We stand behind our product", he...

    Broken Bro-Tek thumb

So, after extolling the virtues of my mechanical thumb just the other day, it's now toast! The main anchor/pivot bushing has worn itself out of round and actually bent the large clevis pin holding it in place. Now it's so crooked it's useless. I know..... you're going to say I was too rough on...

    Backhoe thumb

The Bro-Tek is considerably cheaper, and he ships fast. It's even painted orange! - One word of caution however, don't use the light-duty Kubota top-link on it if that's what you have. Get the strongest, beefiest link you can, cause the bucket can and will bend it.

    Backhoe thumb

I presume you're talking about a mechanical, and not hydraulic thumb for that price? I bought the mechanical from Bro-Tek a year ago. Works OK, certainly better than having none, but hydraulics would be so sweet. The Bro-Tek has a little U-shaped spacer required to connect everything which is...

BX FEL receiver for ball hitch

Having a hitch on the FEL is great! VERY easy to put whatever, wherever, with accuracy. Only down-side I see is the limited lifting capability. The three point system is stronger, but a PITA to remove your back hoe every time. Lil Foot - I like your simple your ball attachment. I have an 2``...

Can you straighten a bent FEL bucket?

I have a 2" mounted on the top of my bucket, used for moving smallish trailers and such around the yard. Was moving one that was obviously too heavy cause when I dropped the bucket (too quickly) it hit the ground and caved the top of the FEL in somewhat. Still completely functional, but...

    L245DT Tranny/Hydraulic oil

Similar question: I've got a 2008 B7800 that calls for UDT fluid. Can I use something else? Would do a complete flush and change if I did.
