Who has the best way to deal with leaves in the fall ?

Certainly not the 'easiest', but I blow them into one area, then mulch and bag them with the walk-behind mower. Combine that with a 50/50 mix of seaweed off of the beach in front of our place. Run it all through the chipper/shredder and I've got one of the best, nutrient rich soil additives...

    light duty root ripping

I took one of the teeth off of my box-blade, which already have holes drilled in them for adjustment. Drilled two holes into the side of my backhoe bucket and bolted the tooth on. Works great! I can adjust it for length(or depth rather) and it cuts through some pretty thick stuff. Could also be...

Anyone build a small trenching tooth for BH?

Got the holes drilled and fang mounted. Did a test dig and it works great! Digs a nice straight line, although doesn`t clear the soil out of the trench very well. Cuts through a 4`tree root like it`s...

Anyone build a small trenching tooth for BH?

Figured it out! Don't know why I didn't think of this before. Am going to take one of the scarifier teeth off of my box blade, mount it with two holes drilled into the side of the BH bucket and Viola! The tooth already has holes in it so I can adjust the length if need be. Should work...

Anyone build a small trenching tooth for BH?

I kind of forced into using the BH as it's over very uneven ground, slopes, lots of curves etc. Simply won't be able to keep the tractor level enough to use something off of the TPH or FEL.

Anyone build a small trenching tooth for BH?

I've got about 1,000' of shallow 'trench' to dig for some lawn edging. Needs to be 8" deep, but only a couple inches wide. Thinking of having a plate of steel made up that will bolt into place instead of one of the BH bucket teeth and have a 1/4 twist to it so when I draw it towards me it slices...

    B7800 Glow plug light

I've a 2008 B7800, just wondering: When I switch to activate the glow-plugs, should the light remain on, or is it supposed to go out when the plugs are hot enough? If it does not go out automatically, how long should I activate them for. (allowing for outside temperatures of course) Thanks for...

    Tool Box

First thing I thought when I got my tractor was "what a ridiculous toolbox." The only space large enough and out of the way I found for another was between the hood and the FEL frame. I made up a tray out of plywood with two parallel blocks on the underside that simply wedges onto the FEL...

    BH75 Thumb Options

Greetings all! I've got a new to me B7800 tractor with the BH75 backhoe. Am definitely going to be putting a mechanical thumb on it for my upcoming projects, and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations, comments, or suggestions on what to get. I'm not a welder, but my neighbour is, so a...

best bits & worse bits about your orange friend.

Yeah, I don't understand why they can't make it quieter. My friend has a Deere 50D excavator on tracks, and you can barely hear that thing! Super quiet. .
