L245DT Tranny/Hydraulic oil

Changing the tranny/hydraulic on my tractor after splitting it and replacing the gaskets . Kubota wants $85 for a 5gl pail of UDT, Tractor Supply sells a 5gl pail of Super Trac 303 for $26.99. The back of the pail says that it is Kubota compatible. What is the general opinion on the use of the Super Trac from Tractor Supply ?

On that old and style (non HST) of tractor you'll be fine with just about anything you put into it.

Another option is see if you can get Mystik JT-5, it's UDT compliant and works very well for a good price.

Similar question: I've got a 2008 B7800 that calls for UDT fluid. Can I use something else? Would do a complete flush and change if I did.

I put Supertech HT in my B6200HST today because it says on the can that it's compatible replacement for Kubota UDT. $43 for a 5 gallon pail.

I get a good price locally on Chevron THD-1000 and works great in older---non-HST---equipment.

New iron, warranty, HST? Stay with latest Kubota UDT.
