    1997 R520 Sometimes Won't Move

Re: !997 R520 Sometimes Won't Move He's only posted twice, a question each time about R520, and never a follow-up. You'd prolly do better to start a new thread. Provide plenty of details; as of now this thread has been read almost 550 times, with only one suggestion, and two ancillary...

    L1501DT - Need advice

How do you mic the pistons without removing them? Do the skirts protrude below the bore at BDC? I wonder if you meant a ridge at the top of the bore? (I don't understand how a piston would have a ridge, and I thought the idea was to try to verify piston fit without having to remove them, so...

    Repair ZD28 seat springs

Well, here (metro Atlanta, GA) we have spring shops that actually make springs, and can duplicate pretty much any spring. Maybe in Canoodia those kinds of businesses couldn't exist - the metal would just snap, it's so cold? Although Google is fooled; they think there are some Canadian Spring...

    Box Blade W/Hyd top link

Wow! I'm glad for you! (Now I'm wondering if I could put one on my FEL... I don't care about cutting down my time, I'm on borrowed time anyway, but it would be wonderful to look like I knew what I was doing! :D)

    Bent Hood

Yep, used hood would "hafta" be in better condition that that tiny nightmare! Otherwise, Bondo it and paint it, and try not to let it eat at yuh, cuz nobody else would be paying any attention to it.

    L345DT Transmission Repair

ewww... that looks awful! So sad for your difficulty. And I appreciate the jam you're in trying to find parts. It seems you've already done the things that I would try. Next stop would be to visit a machine shop with the part in hand, and ask for their advice, listen carefully, then ask for an...

    what tractor do I have

Okay, everybody flunks! Obviously it was a test. Perhaps a new test like the Emergency Broadcast System's periodic broadcasts. I surmise that this test was a follow-up to the "shot across the bows" which Douglas Preston documented in "Impact". If my hunch is correct, the test is designed to...

Help deciding on implement for ballast

You won't need a stabiizer, but it is a nice thing to have. Sadly, the best I've seen is no longer in regular production. You could either use a cross drawbar, available at your TractorSupply NOT this kind shown in the MX attachment. Or you could just use the Cat 1 pins available at your...

    LA211 Hydraulic Leak

BA Guy, welcome to the forum! You didn't get your first question answered, and I think it might have been your most urgent. It isn't harmful to operate the loader with the lead you describe. You have time to accumulate the tools and materials for the repair, as well as time to bone up on how to...

    B7000 owners wanted

Just spoke to a very knowledgeable lady at DTI; she informed me that US tractors' fuel lines are 1/4" and foreign tractors use 6mm. (That made me worried because mine miked .254" and I had serious doubts that it had .015" of paint on it. Then I realized that it was likely built in the factory up...

    Computer virus

I agree. Though I am an opponent of capital punishment, as well as a very devout, bible-thumping, love-thy-neighbor Christian, I firmly believe that the abandonment of public executions has contributed to the rise in crime. (Not, but any means, the cause, but I believe a factor, however small.)...

    B3300 wiring issue

Sounds like you've missed one wire. Because you can energize the starter, I suspect the wire from the switch to the solenoid. Check your Operator's Manual Wiring Diagram and verify the wire from the solenoid to the switch is intact.

Sorry, I have no knowledge of your machine, nor info on your problem. Only read your post cuz of the family name (same as mine). In a little while, the gurus will see your post and provide wisdom. Prolly, as you've experienced with your previously frayed wired, a quick and easy fix. Welcome to...
