I'm trying to rebuild my ZD28 seat. Everything is available except the springs over the plywood. Are any aftermarket seat parts available. The foam is good. The plywood can be replaced and the vinyl is good. The only parts missing are the springs (On top of the plywood).
Thanks

Well, here (metro Atlanta, GA) we have spring shops that actually make springs, and can duplicate pretty much any spring. Maybe in Canoodia those kinds of businesses couldn't exist - the metal would just snap, it's so cold? Although Google is fooled; they think there are some Canadian Spring Manufacturers

I hate to say this, but if there is plywood in your seat then someone has already done a fly by night repair to it.
Just buy a new seat minus the plywood! ;)

Repair ZD28 seat springs Plywood and all

All the parts look original. Plywood and all. This is a 2005 ZD28 with less than 900 hours on it. I must be the first guy to actually take one apart. The springs are supported by plywood and looks like the original parts.
Thanks Paul

I have fought the "fix a seat thing several times over the years. I have to agree with Wolfman. Buy an aftermarket seat and go back to mowing. The things are haunted.
