    Join first or buy first

It all happened pretty quick. From the time I decided enough fooling around - I want a tractor! - to buying - to joining this fine group - we are talking a week to 10 days. As this was my first real tractor (the sears garbage hauler doesn't count) I needed all the good advice I can get. Boy...

    Why Not Join OTT?

FWIW I would suggest the site make Debit or Credit an option. I have had no end of issues with Paypal and avoid it if I have a choice.

    FEL damaging paved driveway

Yup, did the same thing to a fairly new drive, much to my displeasure. Will definitely look at welding a support on.

    Why Not Join OTT?

Boy is that true. What I have learned as a tractor newby, and saved in equipment and hide, made the price of admission trivial.

What to get and what not to get from dealer when purchasing tractor

I will second the backhoe comments - had no idea how I would justify the cost of it. But having had it I can't imagine NOT having it. No doubt it pales to a mini ex but as a useful add I have zero regrets and would do it again.

Bought a couple and have used them extensively for attaching everything from a hitch mount to my rube goldberg ripper. They have held up very well.

Kubota BX fuel sending unit issue?

Fuel gauge on my BX25 has been a problem as well (only issue, so far, touch wood). I just fill her up any time I put any hours on it. I guess if the rust starts creating issues it will be on to plan B.

The only damage was to my pride....

I do believe I would have been over one day when I was loading the truck on a slight slope but was saved by the wheel spacers I had added thanks to the good advice from the ott folks on this site.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had a water problem so a drainage trench became the to-do task. Didn't want a trench the width of the bucket so a trencher attachment became the project. I admit I have fun coming up with a way of doing this stuff with the parts and pieces I have around. It's not industrial strength for sure...

    Boosted my hydro pressure. BX23S

Is the "Flat Face connector" a 23s thing? Will the BXpanded kit work as is on a BX25D? Thanks

All hydraulics quit working on BX25

Any ideas as to what would cause the port to plug up? Failure of the plug itself or a fluid issue?

    Two Schools of Thought

Depends on the neighbor. One asked for help digging out a stump (fun time for me so that was a no brainer plus he's a decent sort). Another seems to think my tools are his tools - had to clarify that.
