    Leaking BX Industrial Tires

After I pulled the BX25 out of the garage, I left the tractor idling for a bit of warm-up while I stowed some gear elsewhere. Returning to the BX to move along, I happened to be on the right side of the tractor when I noticed dampness covering about 85% of the outer rear industrial tire...

    Hello from a new member!

Wolf, you did the right thing! This site is worth more than its weight in entertainment value as there aren't many of us that wear shirts with diesel cylinder sleeves as the uniform of trade. Hope your time here turns to be an addiction. Chuck

Rubber tire chains for dirt work

All of this on the topic is intriguing, lads. You all have prompted me to investigate them for use in mud with my BX24D with the industrials mounted. Great topic!

    BX22 4wd issue, traction issue

An alternative to wiring the roll pin in place is to drive a slightly smaller one inside of the one that is there. It is a pretty common practice for locking roll pins. The smaller will have to be driven out first before the larger can follow.

    l3130 front pivot seal-I'm stuck!

One of the more illusive problems that won't be visible until after bearing failure is that when an inner bearing race is impacted laterally, there is an excellent chance that the precision ground face under the ball bearings and respective cage will be damaged by brinelling. It is always...

    Toyota Forklift parts

Patricia, check into http://www.solidliftparts.com/brand/toyota-forklift-parts on the web. They indicate they sell used parts for Toyota fork lifts.........if there's a grain of truth that they are the largest in the U.S. for Toyota parts, you may access what you need there. Perhaps they will...

    Carry-All bent frame at pins

Judging by the downward angle of the pins, it would appear that the damage was not induced by something too heavy bearing down on the yellow horizontal load arms but rather an extreme vertical load pushing up from the bottom (or ground side of the arms). It was like someone grounded the base...

    What is/was your Profession?

Test Engineer for the past 4.3 decades in one of the nefarious Big 3 in Michigan. Extensive involvement with Performance Car Testing and dislike of pompous management personalities. Realized recently that the beauty of retirement is that one can exit with significantly developed professional...

    Stuck Lugs

Tired Guy's suggestion of the beeswax works nicely....you can gently pre-heat the nut/stud or wheel bolt(s) with a torch then melt the wax into the seat area and the stud end. I have used Sno-Seal Boot Waterproofing which is beeswax-based with great success. At most, I've had to do two thermal...

    hogs, hogs and more hogs.

Interesting comment of bullet weight for a 25.06 Remington.........."He once missed a large steer who headed to the back pasture with the slaughterer chasing it in his panel truck. I went inside and got my .25/06 and dispatched it at about 150 yards with a shot to the head (129 gr. bullet)...

    What grease for cv joints

Hey GWTX........At Auto Zone (auto parts store), there's 3 oz. of CV joint grease available for $2. It is moly disulfide rich, extremely heat resistant, waterproof and mixes well with other lube of its own type. Larger tubs are available elsewhere but it has been my experience that even if a CV...

    Took Mom fishing

DT, I admire you for taking your mom out on the water for the day, however long or short as it was. My mom always took great joy when fishing with her sons. Makes my eyes water a little just thinking of that. Chuck

    BX25 hydraulics

Having the same model, I am wondering whether the hydraulic fluid level is at spec (as suggested by the former respondent) or if the pump is starving for fluid due a plugged screen or dirty filter. You haven't indicated whether routine maintenance has been done nor the hours on the machine...

Any residential HVAC guys on here?

Most Residential compressor units are pre-charged with refrigerant. There are valves on the unit on the high and low pressure sides that control the release. The valves are also used to isolate the unit during vacuum leak check of the lines prior to gas release. Depending on the run length to...

Any residential HVAC guys on here?

I have installed two systems myself. The sales people sold me all that I needed.........from the compressor to the refrigerant supply and return lines, condensate pan and A-coil. I cut the plenum, installed the condensate pan, installed the drain and condensate pump, put a coil in place, ran the...

    Fluid film

Fluid Film was introduced to me by my neighbor, a good-ole-boy that may not possess the best social skills but can easily discern good products from those questionable, if not clearly poor, ones. Seeing the advantages, I understand the usefulness of aerosol but also recognize applications that...

    Spray on bed liners

I am sold on the Durbak products. The bed liner material requires an surface prep for great adhesion........scuff surface with 80 - 100 grit sandpaper. Don't wory about taking more off of the original paint than scratching through it to parent metal. I used air-file pads and did it by hand. At...
