    Kubota Vapor Lock?

I agree with Wolfman on all points. I am most suspicious of a tank vent source being plugged.......the vent has to enable two way air flow. In to compensate for fuel consumption, out to relieve captive pressure during thermal fuel expansion.

B7300 W/D722 Engine Strange Fuel Leak

I'm thinking it's potentially a chafed or broken return line from the injection system. It doesn't sound like there's evidence of fuel spray, resulting from a pressured delivery line. On some diesels there is a fuel rail delivery system but I don't believe your's to be of that design. Wolfman...

    New BX25D-1

Wardster, welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your recent addition to the tool/equipment arsenal. I have had mine for over a year now and love it dearly. At first I was doing things without the benefit of remembering I owned it but, gradually, I am finding it to be an extension of my...

    Rodents under the hood

Admittedly, I did have a problem with mice retrieving soiled paper towels out of the trash can and then shredding them for nest material over the radiator of my BX25 when in the detached garage. Since, I got a covered trash can but also keep the hood open on the tractor when parked inside the...

I can't see the transmission oil level

I cut a short piece of blue shrinktube and carefully positioned it to be extend no further up the stick than the full mark. The tube extended slightly past the tip of the dipstick, leaving the end profile evident after the tubing shrank. The raised marks on the dipstick face have been conformed...

    BX25 Pricing

A year ago last month, I bought a BX25D from a Michigan dealer. FEL, BH w/12" bucket, 3-Point Kit, Mechanical Thumb, Mid-Mount Hydraulics, 50" Snowblower, Blower Lift/Drive unit, Beet-juiced Rear Tires & Taxes came to $22K. I contacted 7 dealers on my side of the state for pricing, 6 responded...

    gear oil

Limited slip lubes are fine to use. A friction modifier is introduced into the lube base to promote release of the limited slip clutch plates. The viscosity nor the protection level suffers from the friction modifier.

    Help with RTV900 wiring issue

Re: Help! Fusible link wire is always red. It may not be visually obvious, but look for a "twisted" or "wrinkled" appearance. If you find a segment that looks like that it will likely be the wire that has gone open circuit, protecting the rest of the the wiring system. Auto parts store offer...

    Anybody versed in Chevrolet trucks?

Hodge, I apologize for providing the link for the module on Ebay. It opened the right page but one would have to scroll through them to get to the pumps. Looking specifically at those, I did not see any for the K3500 (4x4). I did go to Summit Racing and saw that they had listings for likely what...

    Anybody versed in Chevrolet trucks?

Hodge..... because you have a leak within the ABS Module (located under the drivers seat exterior floor pan area), it will have to be replaced. Had similar symptoms with my Dad's truck in the 2500 series. replaced all of the brake lines with Stainless for about $200, a bad caliper and a couple...

Is anyone else having problems with the site?

This is exactly what I am experiencing. I have gotten to the point that I am starting to dread accessing the forum. Normally, using the "Back" button will take me to the desired thread although many times, when the thread appears, I cannot scroll through the text. I wonder if the subscription...

    B6000 clutch problem

I have seen the same symptoms in the automotive world. Most of the occurences stem from people not realizing there are, commonly, three different release (throw-out) bearing lengths available for specific clutches. I sure don't mean to infer that the tractors share the same phenomenon as this...

    BX-25 Coolent fan rubbing shroud

I'm thinking motor mount fastening issue myself. Looked at my BX25D and see no immediate reason that is likely to happen. If something other than a mount issue is found, please share it........my tractor is maybe too young yet to have developed the problem yours has. Thanks, Chuck

    Runaway Abatement Question

Hey, thanks to all that responded.............the comments included many viable solutions. The event of a runaway condition does seem unlikely, although I often seem to be the subjected party to statistical improbabilities. Chuck

    Runaway Abatement Question

As a correction to the initial post, I have determined that the average discharge time of that particular fire extinguisher is 12-14 seconds, a 20 pound unit lasts 15 - 17 seconds. I apologize for the error in the original discharge-time statement. Regardless, is 12-17 seconds of discharge...

    Runaway Abatement Question

It occured to me that I have seen posts regarding the topic of runaway diesel engines and often, the associated answers of what to do in the event of such. Obviously, ignition requires the three components of combustion: Heat, Air & Fuel. Removing any one of the three results in collapse of the...
