    Backhoe falling

Unless the cylinder is in perfect shape, even rebuilt cylinders will leak internally to themselves over time, it's a lot of pressure to hold back for seals on imperfect surfaces. You could seal both ends of the cylinder and still get leak down for the same reason. I know a lot of rebuilds skip...

    L2900 smoking and knock?

2000 hrs is enough to show poor maintenance. That's about equivalent to 70,000 miles on a car. If the unit did not have its oil changed regularly, (every 80-100 hours or so) it can wear prematurely. If it never had its oil changed, you'd actually have really bad wear on the rings and cylinder...

    Kubota warranty coverage...

Good point DJM1204.... hope the tractor was insured. Mine is through Kubota because they insisted the loan have insurance on the vehicle. It was cheap enough and part of the purchase price so I took it. Nice to know it actually works.

    BX2360 nearly overheating issue

See the post under What did you do on your Kubota today for flushing your radiator fins. Barring that being an issue, you can lose a water pump even without it leaking or making noise. Some anti-freeze components or really old anti-freeze, can melt down the impellers on a water pump...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Standard Grade 2 bolt is all a sheer bolt is. Even Kubota admitted that in a manual I read on one of their equipment items. Your hardware store has them. Your overheat problem may be caused by a plugged radiator. Yes, I know it can look really clean, but trust me, it's not. Flush those fins...

    Kubota warranty coverage...

The others have said it, never trust the parking brake, and it's gospel. However, it's somewhat implied that it works... I mean it is a 'parking brake' so a relatively new tractor operator would think it works just like a cars does, right? So there may be a basis for your lawsuit but it's a...

6' Industrial Scraper Blade on my M8560 has me stumped....I'm missing something....

We have a hydraulic top link for my brothers Oliver 1265 and it's not overly useful unless we're scraping/blading. For normal farm implements, it can actually be a distraction or efficiency loser as you have this mental desire to keep adjusting it to try and maximize some kind of minor...

    Main switch head scratchers!!!

I thought the standard for tractors was that the body of the key switch was 'ground', all inside reachable terminals are V+ in or out, no ground links at all. So this is confusing to me, switches should only switch to ground if they are on the ground side of the circuit... or at least that's...

    rpm to operate tractor..

I'm not sold on a given method, I do know what works for me though. If I'm working the unit, loader or PTO, I run at PTO RPM's (not WOT). If I'm doing speedy running around, I use 2000 RPM as it's traditionally the most efficient RPM for diesel engines as a whole. I don't know what the exact...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yeah, I'd run it through a composting cycle myself, however, I know a lot of folks that do direct add and let it mix in over the winter. Some even want the new stuff to be hot to keep existing plants warm in winter. Knew a lady that did this to her roses over the winter after she cut them...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

ATF is the more common mix as it is an oil based product. Anti-freeze is hygroscopic, absorbs/mixes with water. I'd think you'd want more of a lubricant than something meant to modify freezing/boiling points. Now I'm not saying that it won't work or isn't a good mix, I have no data on...

    B3350 dpf issues

It's not about the environment. The entire 'reports' driving this are cooked to get the results they wanted. There is no way you can justify burning MORE fuel to alter the emissions as being cleaner. It's moronic, yet it got Government into an area of the economy they were unable to get into...

    Fuel Tank Rust

Rusty tanks are a pain and usually because of a lot of moisture getting into them. You can line them or even 'paint' them with special paints meant for the task, but if you ask me, that's just another form of a liner. You can also modify a rubber bladder style tank to go inside of a shot metal...

    Kubota L245 Injection Pump/Fuel problems

If it runs fine from gravity feed from fuel in a funnel, your issue is prior to the fuel injector pump. You've eliminated the fuel injection pump as an issue. Replace all the old fuel lines, they collapse and plug up with gunk or their own linings. Clean everything in the fuel system prior to...

Antifreeze? That's a new one. Did you mean Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)?

    Making wood pellets

All of the nuclear accidents are on un-contained Nuclear plants. None of the fully contained 2nd gen plants have had these issues. 3rd Gen plants would be impossible to melt down and would reprocess their fuel on site resulting in low radioactivity waste, would not even need significant...

I know that it's green, but...

I think your Dad appreciates the green more. However, you could have painted them NEON green for color fun! (add in some glow in the dark paint and really make them stand out!) :p

    Engine Error Code

I was being a little facetious. ODBII is car parlance for pain in the tush computer tracking of everything but especially emissions systems! I hope to heck tractors never go ODBII. If they do, it is truly a sign that government has taken over everything.
