Read the story this morning. This crap absolutely makes no sense other than people trying to get their 15 minutes of fame/infamy. I really don't get it at all. I also don't get why we don't let everyone be armed. Had others had firearms this guy wouldn't have gotten 10 feet from the shooting...
CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) and AH (Ampere Hour) have little to do with each other.
You could have a 1000AH battery and it couldn't turn over a drill at 0°F. It's about battery type and chemistry to determine CCA.
Most decent car batteries, new, can easily crank our compact tractors. If you're...
That's an awesome episode CCRay. I never would've thought of that process.
I have not had confirmation of this but I watched a program once that said that Alexander Bell's first phone attempts were not analog, but digital, based on the idea to use the existing telegraph lines. Instead of...
You certainly have me thinking of having my future propane installation include that setup from the get-go. I'll still be using 20lb tanks for things like my RV, heaters and such. Be nice to be able to re-fill the small bottles too.
Okay, I'm convinced. I'll do this when I get my big 'ol...
So if 63 h is the error code, what does the meter read for hours on the unit?
The meter will look something like this one on Hefty2000's unit:
It should have something that says "hours" next to it.
I was talking about the engine seals and any others forward of the clutch. If you're in there, and it's a pain to get in there, now's the time to replace them.
I would use dirt as my backer. It would try to keep the 'curve' in the face of the blade. I'd think concrete might flatten it out more face-wise.
It's just a poor man's fix anyway. That blade will never be the same strength and it would take a day of pounding just to get it back looking...
Sheepfarmer-
One great thing about computers is that they evolve. All the things that used to be a royal pain in the tuckus to work on are now pretty much automated, no matter what the OS (Most flavors on Linux are still very manual but some are automated, like Mac OS which is just a super...
Remove the blade from the assembly.
Remove the cutting edge from the blade and source a new cutting edge.
Set the blade on the ground in front of one of the rear tires of the tractor on level ground. Make certain the blade is pointed 'up' like a mountain or ramp for the tire. Drive forward...
You can see by all the varying responses that even we aren't certain it's a fuel problem. There is no way the dealer can diagnose this over the phone. Have them send someone out to take a look. The worst you get is a $50-$100 bill for a service call that will drain your fuel and put new stuff...
I have found that a 50/50 solution of Tide laundry detergent and water, sprayed on a warm (not hot) engine and left to soak for an hour will pull most grease and grime off a motor. If you do not have a pressure washer (some folks recommend not using one of these but go ahead if you are skilled...
XP to Windows 8 is a HARSH JUMP by any stretch. With no Vista or Win 7 in between, yeah, I feel your pain sir.
Microsoft has a lot invested in helping you not feel the same pain with Windows 10, you can train, on-line, for free with the new OS...
Those teeth look flappable in the image. Rotate 180° and put on the other side.
I'd probably also sharpen them from the backside, not the face, taking the steel down with the carbide. You can probably get a few more sharpening cycles outta them.
I'm kind of curious. Why do you need the Hodge stabilizers with that 3 point quick hitch unit? If you're always leaving the QH on, chains, adjusted once, would work fine.
I thought the Hodge stabilizers were more for the Pat's style quick hitch where you need the greater precision in location...
