Hello and Glad your here! Now a few questions; How tall was the grass? How fast were you trying to mow? Condition of the blades(sharp)? pulley alignment? Hmmm, that will do for now.

    G4200H won't turn over

Hello!!! and Glad your here. You'll like OTT. Now, without a Schematic its a little more difficult but first, you sure you replaced the switch wiring with the same conductivity as the original switch. was it a Kubota replacement? was the orig switch shot? have you jumped batt to glow plugs...

I was kinda thinking the same thing for my B7100, but no leads on bulbs tho. I really didn't want to add external lights to the hood. Anyone??

    G6200 found it bought it

I just looked at the link Eric added, if you cleaned yours up right, it could look better than that one. A little paint, elbow grease and a thoughtful plan, a real winner. The one in the add wasn't even cleaned up!! And $3K, really??? WoW Man my fingers are longwinded tonight

    G6200 found it bought it

A little rough around the edges, but that should clean up well. and $250!! you should see some of the junk i've dragged home that cost more than that. The potential is outstanding. if it does run out well for a few Hrs, it will deserve 4 new shoes and a buff and wax on the tins. Maybe even pull...

    Alternator Ideas

YuuP!, thats pretty much it. Just its main purpose will be 12V nominal. If anything else was needed, i.e. 110v, it could be done using 4ga. jumpers to a Batt to inverter to load. Under 1200w 110v it should still be efficient enough to be pressed into very rural/light service. but then again...

    Alternator Ideas

Nope!, got sidetracked with a daughter. That napa lookup should have occurred to me, but didn't. Anyways, that will give me all the ammo I need to get an alt. What I intent to do is put a small, 2 1/2hp, 4 stroke engine I have in service instead of setting on the shelf. A smallish portable...

    New member with some questions.

All good points guys! Me?, I would probably choose the "B" for the homestead and leave the other tractor at the campsite. You can always take the new tractor there for the week or weekend to use the FEL or something. Nothing wrong with having two tractors there at one time. Keep the bigger...

    odd

Well it sounds like you just identified your problem. It has sucked some trash into the carb, filter, or partly blocked a hose or something similar. It "is" fuel system related. Time to tear into it one part at a time. Clean and R@R from the beginning ( tank) all the way to the carb. Don't do it...

    B-6000 alternator bearings

Nothing, both refer to 4x4, front wheel assist, dual traction (take your pick). all have become to be interchangeable in general conversation.

    100 Plus Years of Progress

Wow, Thanks. I grew up going to these types of "traction engine" shows with my grandfather. He drove/operated a Russell traction engine (steam tractor) as an orphan at age 12 just to survive. He lived in an outbuilding of a minister who was "kind" enough to take him in and let him work for his...

    Alternator Ideas

Hey Guys, cant sleep much so my mind is streaming a few ideas tonight to amuse itself. First off, I'm wanting to locate an internally excited alternator (1 wire) prefer GM for a project. problem is part stores around here are telling me nothing like that exists or was ever made, Bull-ony! Dad...

    Help for a soon-to-be 1860 owner

Eric's right about the tires. But, for me I would upsize for the larger tire size and take the 5 HP as a bonus. In most grading situations I would choose a boxblade. But, if you are mainly gonna use the back blade for snow a regular blade might be best for you.

Is the L3800 good for running a 5 foot bush hog?

I thought that the reason we bought new bigger tractors was so we could by new implements!
