Hello, new here. Just bought a b6100 and I'm loving it.

Wondering how I did on price, hoping I didn't get ripped off but I think it was a fair deal.

Came with a woods rm48, back blade, and a 48inch box lift thing for the 3 point. Kinda like a trailer without the wheels.

It was mostly clean, very little rust on the body, and under the hood is rust free and still has most of the paint intact on the engine.

1222 hrs, though I don't know if the hour meter is working right. It starts right up with a cold engine. A little black smoke from exhaust on startup, and a little white smoke when accelerating. Other than that it's almost smoke free when running a constant rpm.

Front and back pto work on all 3 speeds. No leaking oil.

It idled just a little rough when I bought it. But after changing all the fluids and greasing everything (came with a manual or I'd be helpless), it is running and idling like a top, very smooth and kitten like. Trans fluid was very clean and clear. The oil I drained from the front axle was a little dirty, and had little flecks of metal in it, I noticed when I emptied the oil pan.

The radiator fluid looks clearish, but I have not drained and cleaned it yet.

The woods mower is pretty rusted on the body and the belt was shot, but under the casing it's pretty much rust free, and the blades are rust free also.

I paid $3200, and he dropped it all off at my farm because I didn't have a trailer and my trucks a short bed.

Did I get a fair deal?

And also glad to be a part of this community, I just started reading some threads here and I am impressed at the knowledgeable members.

For that price, I think you did fine. It looks in good condition. Those older B series tractors are real work horses and built like tanks. I have a 1977, B7100 with a FEL and I have been really impressed with it. I bought it last winter and started using it this year.

You will have a lot of fun with it!!!

Welcome!

I agree with Mike - good deal and you will enjoy more every day!

What do the aux hydraulics power? They for the front or the rear?
