Bled the fuel system, still can't get it to start.

I replaced the fuel filter on my B7100 today. I installed the new filter, left the filter canister a little loose, opened the fuel valve until fuel started coming out the canister, then tightened it down. Tractor started right up but sputtered and died 30 seconds later. I figure I still have...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Found some Rust-oleum blue paint that matches my B7100 pretty closely. Touched up a few areas. I split the chain couplings to my front FEL pump, so I could replace my fan belt, installed the new belt, assembled the chain couplings, then adjusted the belt tension. All ready for my radiator, once...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks T!! Looks like just a bulb replacement, without having to mess with the housings. Have you tried this with your tractor? If so, how much of a difference do you notice?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Bill, nice job on those lights!! That is an upgrade I want to eventually do for by B7100 as well....better lights. I suspect all I have are a couple of 1156 bulbs for headlights.

    Turning wheels around

All good points. Thanks! I will put them back on the same way. Rims are cleaned up, painted and drying now. There is quite a bit of rust damage near the valve stem holes. I will be putting on a new set of tubes with the new tires. I have had terrible luck with tubeless tires holding air on my...

    Turning wheels around

Would there be an issue if I turn my front wheels the other way when I install my new tires? The valve will now be on the inside of the tire, instead of the outside. But, it looks like I would be about 2" wider per side by doing this, due to the rim offset. Since I have a FEL on by B7100, I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

LOL...sounds like a wise choice to me. I can't believe the extent that the previous owner went with trying to make this seat last. The cushion is gone, there were apparently all kinds of cracks in the pan that he welded up. There was a plate welded to the bottom. This seat looked like Frankenstein.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Both Messicks and Coleman carry it. I thought it was reasonably priced as well. It was just under $78. The part number is 66711-45900. I had to order 2 new rubber cushions that mount to the top of the rear axle as well, since they were missing and the last owner welded a bar across the back...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I'll attach some progress pics. I have completed my fluid and filter change, except for my fuel filter, which I will do just before start up. I replaced some hydraulic hoses, and replaced my new seat. I did some paint touch up work, but the blue is a little too bright for my liking. I will see...

    gear oil

I don't believe limited slip additives are going to cause issues in a non limited slip differential. You just don't want to go the other way with it...a non limited slip lube in a limited slip differential. I have been using the limited slip Valvoline gear oil in my non limited slip...

    Nice Service from Coleman Equipment

I've heard great things from both Coleman and Messicks. I placed an order last Sunday night. I ended up going with Messicks, because Coleman did not have stock on one of the items. Price wise, with shipping, it was within a couple of dollars on a $200 order. I had an email already by 9:00 on...

    B219 loader fluid or oil

Manual calls for 10W30 MS engine oil or type "F" tranny fluid. Is it acceptable to use the universal hydraulic fluid that I used in the rear axle/transmission for the FEL as well? This has the separate reservoir for the FEL on the right side upright. Holds around 5 quarts. The FEL is old. I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

A little more work on the old girl last night. I got the FEL reservoir all cleaned out for the new fluid, which I will replace tonight. I replaced the lines running to the controls and the main lines to the pump. I also installed a new positive side battery cable. I didn't like the condition of...

    1977, B7100, front driveshaft looseness

It is hard to say if the wear is in the yoke (coupler) splines or the shaft splines. I have no idea if one is of a harder material than the other to limit wear on one of the items. I suspect the splined shafts are probably hardened, not sure on the couplers. I think if there were 2 roll pins...
