    Tires and wheels too wide

You can have spacers built to make the rear wheel reversible - they are available form the TRACKS co, on EBAY. Search for Kubota wheel spacers. It'll cost about $400. If it was my choice, I'd mess with the $2K trailer, rather than the $20K tractor. You should be able to pick up wider axles...

    Frustrated L3010 Owner

I sort of go along with Stumpy on this one. After changing everything else, I'd certainly look at the key switch. Check the connections on the starter as well, if you haven't already. After you check battery voltage, check it again at the starter. Lots of luck! Let us know how you make out.

    L175 Help!!

Those gears went bad on my L185DT at about 749 hours. I went through the parts manual, and it appeared to be some major disassembly/repair work to replace them. I was always going to fix it "next summer", but never did. I never did price them, or get an estimate of shop labor. When people...

    shifting lock up on L245DT

:) They had a problem with the 185/245 way back when. Dealer recalled my 185 and put a kit in the transmission, back in '79 or '80. I'd only seen the problem once, and that was on a considerable hill... Never another problem.

    FEL pump

I had them put a front pump on my old L185DT just after I bought it. I believe the pump made it 3-4 times as fast, a BIG difference. Look up the gpm of the hydraulics system in the specs, and the gpm of the front pump at about 2500 rpm, and simple division should get you the speed increase...

    B3300SU Specs

Have a good look at the rear axles on the B3300SU. I bought the L3200 in part because the bearing centers for the 3200/3800 rear axles are about twice what they are on the B3300. I ended up putting 2-1/2" spacers on the rear wheels, both for chains and stability on hills. I also usually have...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I put a gage wheel on my back blade. It helps rid the drive of snow, but keep the gravel. I started with the wheel directly mounted to the plate extension- giving me an inch of lift on concrete. After a day of moving snow I decided I'd sooner it -the wheel - was down a bit lower and the blade...

    L3200 P/S freezes?

I had been plowing for a couple of hours, so it should have been warm enough. Outside temperatures were in the upper 20's...:( Thanks for the input.

    L3200 P/S freezes?

Finally I was home and we got a foot+ of snow! So I was out clearing the drive, and noticed several times that when I stopped, the power steering might not turn the front wheels! It seemed to work fine as soon as I got moving. The snow was warm and packable, but I have trouble believing it...

    B series vs L series

:)Good choice on the L3200. I bought one, but insisted on the gear drive. With my 35 years on the L185DT, I ONLY did FEL work in low-low. That may be a good part of why it lasted so well. Top speed in L-L is about 1 mph. While you are doing FEL work, the tendency is to give it the gas...

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

I also bought spacers from the Tracks Co, and am very happy with them. When I was thinking of building my own, it was going to cost $170 just for the all-thread! Add in the steel, machining, cutting, and time, and they seemed a good deal. Please keep us posted on how swapping the front wheels...

    Kubota L3800

The Kubota solution is VERY misleading! They are actually about 7/8" spacers - they say 1-1/2 because that is the clearance you end up with. My dealer charged $315 for the set, but refunded the entire price when I was unhappy. I was going to build my own, but it would have ended up costing...

    Front/Rear DRAG RATIO, L3200, L4600

Thank you! Now, according to my understanding you want the tire diameter ratio to be a bit less than the drag - or lead - ratio; you want the front tires to be trying to pull the back tires. Again, this works with the L3200. The ratios on the L4600 work out just the opposite. The tire ratio...

    Front/Rear DRAG RATIO, L3200, L4600

I have calculated the DRAG RATIO of my L3200 to 1.5526, based on the gear teeth in the parts manual. Does anyone know if this is really correct? It seems to work OK with the tire movement. How about the L4600? I may want to try their larger tires / wheels someday, but am not sure about the...

    Block heaters

I was going to use my old magnetic heater from the L185 days (which worked GREAT) and was shocked to find the oil pans on the L3200 are aluminum! Check before you buy the magnet... I got the permanent Kubota in-block water heater, but have not been home to see if is any good.

    L3200 - Bigger Alternator??

Thanks, guys. I'll be adding 4 lights, two front and two back. I won't get home to do it until Christmas! The more I look, the easier this should be...:)

    L3200 - Bigger Alternator??

Does anyone know of a larger capacity PM alternator that will fit right on a L3200? As I am adding work lights I'm afraid I'll run out of juice.

Adding spacer to front wheels -L3200DT

Thanks for the input. I'll leave the wheels be - they are still 5" wider than the old 185. I'll try detaching the bucket. That should help a lot...

    L185DT - Dualies!

At the time I did this I had both time and some $$. An L245DT was initially $4400, the 185DT was $4000. All I REALLY wanted was a wider stance, and maybe a bit more traction. The 245 would have given me both - it had adjustable wheels and a size or two larger tires. I think I spent $600 -...
