Thermo - siphon cooling system question

You got that right, the front screen was coated with "mowing remnants" :)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

First gave the Brush Hog blades a quick hit with the body grinder That is one ugly mower, need to do something about that! ;) Then mowed the back 40, I actually wish it was 40, then the neighbors would not be so close. It is probably 1 1/2 not 40. I figure the 3-Point is working good...

    FEL hydraulic hose connectors.

That's how they are on my old Great Bend loader. I just removed the controller because it is leaking terribly and ordered a new one. Just tape them mark them and take a picture. Then you're good to go.

    servicing radiator screen.

What D2Cat said; A picture is worth a thousand words Picture this bucket fully up, drop the safety lever down onto the ram, lower the ram back down onto the safety bar and will go no further down, while you are under it.

Thermo - siphon cooling system question

This is a general newbie to thermosiphon cooling systems question. While doing some mowing today I noticed there was a little bit of coolant coming out of the overflow / whistle. The whistle never actually whistled. I rode her back up towards the shop put a large towel over the radiator cap...

    servicing radiator screen.

At least, but personally I prefer blocking the ram, I just don't trust wood when you have that kind of weight on top of it, and my body underneath it

    Fixed 3-Point problem - Or Did I?

Is the the valve you are referring to #45 CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY? That looks like an R&R part, other than a screw and two o-rings I see no internal parts available. Correct? I will mess with it up top first and rule all that out.

    Fixed 3-Point problem - Or Did I?

I may try to run a cylinder hone through it, but at $130 for a hunk of steel cylinder, I will live with it The ring and o-ring were replaced, now it at least does not drop like a rock. Not sure what the lowering valve lock is but there is only one o-ring in the part I replaced...

    Fixed 3-Point problem - Or Did I?

I got a new (used) COVER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Thursday from WKTP, painted it and installed it today. I was hoping it would fix the "all or nothing" lowering of the three point. As it never worked from the get go, I had / have no idea what to expect. It did help, I can "feather" it and it will...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Changed the front pinion seal, it's amazing how much stuff leaks if you put some real gear oil in a machine. You know I mean actually top it off and not have brown sludge running through the gears. Very frustrated with the previous owner

    Mowing and Leach Fields

Thanks for the info, I guess my only apprehension is years ago when I lived in Divide shortly after we moved in we had an infiltrator fail, some of the neighbors said people used to park there. So you can understand why I'm a little concerned. Oh did I mention it failed in the winter on a...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Found out why I can not control the "down speed" of my 3-point; http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25332&page=3#26 Besides that, installed the newly painted bumper and wheels, the took more pictures! Almost done (finished) you are never done :D Still need to...

    Mowing and Leach Fields

My only concern is damage to the leach field itself, the ground around the leach field is completely hard packed and dry so getting stuck is not an issue. The real reason for my question is some people tiptoe around leach fields and other people act as if it's just part of the earth and pay no...

    Mowing and Leach Fields

I am wondering what people's opinions are of using a small tractor when mowing around and over leach fields. I am not sure what the weight of my 1500 DT and a mower would be. There are some people around here that drive small vehicles on their leach field there are other people that are afraid...

48 inch brush hog blade removal

Well not such an easy fix, part #59 (Flow Control Valve Adjuster) is now in two pieces an one piece is permanently part of #5 (Cover) May try drilling it out, and re-tapping it, That may work? Will check with West Kentucky Tractor tomorrow and get pricing for the assembly (in green). May...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Last night and today was all about wheels, got the fronts sanded, cleaned and masked last night, the rears today Primered and painted Did not spend a lot of time or effort on them, the rust problem is pretty bad (highlighted area is missing metal). Looks like...

48 inch brush hog blade removal

Thanks Russell, I will check to see if the "previous owner" sheared the pin that holds the knob to the shaft. :p Like I used to tell my mom, it was like that when I found it.
