Will probably also need to re-chrome, my L1500's were intact but I had to get them re-chromed.
That is exactly what they are/do, allows about 5" of movement.
The left and right spring holes are oblong so they allow up/down tilting.
Works surprisingly well , for something thrown together in an hour or two!

Well, I changed the fuel pump on my 50 Willys and then hooked up the plow blade.
Started to back up and POP, something in the clutch "gave way".
got it into the shop with the tractor and found that the clutch fork
just rattles and I am perpetually in neutral.
Have a bad shoulder (workers comp)...

You may find something similar at Napa or others,
also easy enough to make.
If you make them, you can dip the ends in "Plastic Dip"
for tool handles or use heat-shrink tubing, depends how
authentic you want to go.
