    Bumpy uneven lawn

On 3 acres, I wouldn't do it all at once. You can plow, disc, rototill, then drag a piece of steel, like an H beam, as wide as your tractor's tires, to do almost as good of a job as a harley rake. It will take longer, but you will also not have to worry about a lot of erosion, if a heavy storm...

Not to beat the lone ranger theme to death, but: Lone Ranger The Lone Ranger is ambushed and captured by an enemy Indian War Party. The Indian Chief proclaims, "So, YOU are the great Lone Ranger" , "In honor of the Harvest Festival, YOU will be executed in three days." "Before I kill you, I...

    Daily Chuckle

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, 'Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see? 'The Lone Ranger replies, 'I see millions of stars.' 'What that tell...

    Cash vs financing

Almost every tractor I have ever bought has been used, cash on the barrel head... I guess I'm just an old fossil, but I bet I have more tractors than most, here. I was taught, that If you don't have the money, wait and save, and it will be worth a lot more to you...:D:D

How often to change oil in Rotary cutter?

I have several bush hogs, of varying age and manufacture... I've never changed the oil, unless a bad seal did it for me. Unless it were burnt smelling, I'd keep it full, and lever B...:D:D

    PTO Trencher fab/retrofit on BX-2200

Before you take anything apart, check out how fast the chain operates, on the old trencher, so you can figger out the gearing necessary, to run the trencher, at that speed... This tool comes in handy for that: http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=digital+tachometer :D:D

Guess what I went and did today...

Yep, those Hesstons were good balers, I gots no complaints, on mine, bought it used about 15 years ago. Good thing about the 5530, is that it only takes about 30 HP to pull it, so I can use my old Allis D-10 to pull it...:D:D

    Its antuque tractor pullin time...

Was up in Fredrick, MD, today, at the JD dealer, there was a pull. A friend has a 50+ year old Allis CA, complete, with a 4 barrel, turbo, and 28" rubber... What a thrill to see that thing coming down the line, on the small sled, speed horn blowing like a freight train, as he passed the owner...

Guess what I went and did today...

Not my baler, but the same model... Mine is pretty much factory stock, 1979 vintage. They are still making that baler, under the Hesston, IH, and New Idea re-badgeing...:D:D

    under side of mower deck

Mo deck worked good for me, back when I wasn't cutting as much as I do, today. I've found that the more you use the deck, the less stuff sticks to it. There's always 3-4 spots that will tend to have clumps stuck to them...:D:D

    Replacing Fuel Filter

I had my MF 205 stop, in the shop, today. Seems I forgot I had turned off the diesel, last christmas, to prep to change the ff. Good thing I went up to put air in the tires... Anyway, the whole change took about the same time as a commercial, on TV. Just follow the bleed directions, in your...

    Daily Chuckle

I woke up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night (as I often do) & I noticed a strange individual who looked vaguely middle-eastern sneaking through my next door neighbor’s back garden with a knife in his hand. Suddenly my neighbor came from nowhere and smacked him over the head with a...
