    Thermosyphon System Conclusions..

Actually it was a pretty good system, as it came from the factory. what often brings about failure, is in a mowing situation, clippings and chaff can accumulate between the radiator, and battery, causing an overheat. I think, there was also an import law, at the time, which made it have liquid...

Did the dealer overfill my tires ?

Skeets has it mostly right. If I heard the bubbling, I would get stem to 12:00 position, remove the valve core body, and put a bucket under the valve stem, and slowly release pressure. You might not be able to do it slow, I've never worked with the beet pulp. you might just have to hang on to...

    Got a L185 engine question

I intend to closely inspect everything, got all torn off except governor springs and valve train cover, today. I plan to put the plug in, and fill with water and see if it loses any overnight, at least, before even ordering more parts. Anybody know what size the FP is, and if there is an...

    Got a L185 engine question

Another update, stuck the HF inspection camera in for a look, then a wire, to see if there was any resistance, when pressing against the freeze plug, the FP appears to be MIA. Can the FP be replaced by removing just the cover, that descends at a 45` angle towards the generator side of the...

    Got a L185 engine question

Are these located on front of motor, near the front gear case? If so, that appears to be where the leak is...

    Got a L185 engine question

Update, bad block! Tried pouring water into one of the block water jacket holes, it went right into the crank case. I guess it froze up and cracked the block. Gonna put a camera in, and see what the crack looks like...:(

    Got a L185 engine question

Got the head off today. Tried dumping a gallon of water in it, went right into the crankcase with no flow resistance... From what I could see, it looks as if it was leaking through the HG, into #1, on the push rod side. Clean spot, on the head, there. Gonna have the head hot tanked, and...

    Got a L185 engine question

Got it home today, plugged radiator, but not too bad, about a 8"X 8" spot behind battery, hollow in the middle. Milky oil, so it might be a cracked head, haven't gotten it torn down, yet. Any Idea where exactly to look for cracks? This one was leaking AF, from the injector pump side of the...

    Got a L185 engine question

What's a head gasket cost on one of these? Got a line on one, pretty cheap, and was wondering what parts will run, if anyone has done one recent?

    Question about a L2202 specs

Was wondering if anyone knows for sure what a L2202 weighs? I don't have ballasted tires, so the factory weight would do for what I need to know.

    hillside stability

There are other methods of cutting steep areas, but what I generally do is to mow around the perimeter of the field, till the slope becomes uncomfortable. Then when you have a few steep "islands" unmowed, go up and down the hill. Fluid is not necessary, if you can find a set of farmall...

Anyone have a part number for

the hydraulic filter on an Kubota (Kioti)L2202? I measured it, thread is M20 x 1.5, Gasket ID is 2"/51MM, Gasket OD is 2-7/16"/62MM, Filter OD is 3-1/8"/80MM. Height is 4-9/16"/111MM, or 5-7/16"/138 MM, depending if you measure to the bottom of the 24MM drive nut, or to its top. It is a full...
