Update, bad block! Tried pouring water into one of the block water jacket holes, it went right into the crank case. I guess it froze up and cracked the block. Gonna put a camera in, and see what the crack looks like...:(

There are other methods of cutting steep areas, but what I generally do is to mow around the perimeter of the field, till the slope becomes uncomfortable. Then when you have a few steep "islands" unmowed, go up and down the hill. Fluid is not necessary, if you can find a set of farmall...
