Should I mount lights on canpoy or ROPS?

Another vote for ROPS. Mine are mounted under my canopy on the ROPS. There are definitely cheaper options than that.

Grandson is looking for a tractor

X2 I looked for 5 years and still bought one too small.

    Modification question

Agreed. With the hydro trans your not going to gain speed. On the rangers they have two models, a hydro and a CVT. CVT models go almost as fast as the gas versions. You don't sacrifice anything with belt drives like you said above. You cant lug a CVT, the clutches just holds the lowest gear...

    M6060 vs L6060?

What do you plan on doing with it? Average hours per year? All you said was general. Seems like your wanting other people to do the homework comparing the two models. Find a dealer that has both and make a trip.

    Winches

I have a Viper elite wide spool 5k on mine. I've yet to get stuck after I installed it though. I have the same model on my ranger and used it numerous times, the wireless remote works great, although the receiver is large and I couldn't find a easy way to mount on the tractor so I added a 12'...

    M6060 vs L6060?

I am looking at these as well to upgrade in a few years. Biggest difference is the transmissions and the size of the machine. Grand L is only available with the HST plus trans, while the M6060 is only available with the F8/R8 transmission. While the M7060 is available with the F12/R12 or the...

    L3800 seat swap/upgrade

That seat is some serious $$. The L3901 seat does not have arm rest. It feels lower probably like an inch, just the way the seat is shaped. Go to the dealer and sit on a L3901 only way to tell for sure if you'd like it.

    L3800 seat swap/upgrade

I don't have the link. I ordered it from messicks, it's under L3901 hood/bonnet seat Pm me your number and I can text you some pictures of it. Internet doesn't work fast enough to upload them here.

    L3800 seat swap/upgrade

Got the seat in today and installed it. Had to drill two holes in the original seat brackets to make it work. First impressions is it's lower than the original, should help with leg fatigue if your shorter like me. Also the back is higher than the original. Definitely an upgrade in my book...

    Large B vs Smaller L

X2 what everyone said. Buy bigger. I bought the absolute biggest I could afford at the time. I often wish I would have bought bigger but realistically it's not cost effective to buy one bigger with the amount of use mine gets now. Just understand what you have horse power wise when doing work...

    PTO shaft shear bolt strength

What everyone else said. Use grade 2 bolts for a shear pin. I'd rather break a 1.50 bolt than take out a u-joint, prop shaft, gear box, etc.

    L3800 seat swap/upgrade

Well I ordered a seat Monday after going to the dealer and took some measurements. Also I would like to add the new L2501 have the same seat as the older L3200/L3800 so it would be a upgrade for those owners as well.

    L3800 seat swap/upgrade

Anyone have a L3200 or L3800 changed their seat to a better model? I was at the dealer a few months ago and noticed the seats on the L3901's are much better. Looking at the parts diagrams for both they should swap out but I will have to take my seat to the dealer to confirm. They are about $270...

    Winch ?

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having it on the tractor? I have a 5k lb winch on my L3800. The biggest problem was one already mentioned, clearance between the the loader and the hood. On my model my hood opens up and forward so I had to account for that. It clears my loader within an...

    Rear Bonnet removal on L2501?

All I done was remove the nut and a firm hit and pulling up with my hands while sitting in the seat. My tractor was about a year old when I done that so it wasn't seized on.

    L3800 dead cylinder

Reasons I upgraded. There is no fuel cut off with the factory housing, changing the filter you get a constant flow of diesel until you get finished changing it. It hangs down very low unprotected and is made of thin plastic. A stick could easily damage it, or a vine could wrap around it ripping...

    L3800 dead cylinder

Well everything is good now. Line coming out of the injection pump was loose about 1/16th of a turn. It's firing all cylinders but it doesn't sound right when its at idle going to WOT. It's probably normal although working with it running for several hours, it just sounds off to me. Anyone...

    L3800 dead cylinder

What are you trying to do with yours? I added a racor fuel filter in place of the factory one. That's when I started having trouble, even though I put everything back to factory my issue continues. I just clamped the line right out of the fuel tank.

    L3800 dead cylinder

Yes getting fuel to all three. I can open the one to the #3 cylinder while running once diesel starts flowing out and down the engine, I tighten it back down and it's still missing. I'm wondering if it's something way simple I'm overlooking.

    L3800 dead cylinder

The one that has some sort of clamp on all the lines? I'll have to check that. But even if that's loose would I still get fuel to the injector like I am? Just not enough to fire
