Z421 ran out of gas. I assume air in lines

How long did you attempt to start it? My Zg127 has been ran dry, just refill and crank but no longer than about 30 seconds at a time so you don’t ruin the starter. Might take a few tries for the fuel pump to get it to the carb. Or a faster way, use a small amount of starting fluid to get it...

How to fix this grease fitting?

Try with the loader all the way up. Tighten it so it’s in the best position. It looks like it’s been getting grease so that’s good.

    Z121s Drive belt replacement

Have you tried holding the belt in both hands and pushing it over the pulley? Also do you have it up on blocks or jack stands? I backed mine up on a set of ramps and left the front nose down. Try to get the right side on first if it’s the most difficult.

    Z121s Drive belt replacement

I changed mine on my ZG127S last year or so, definitely didn’t have to pull the gas tank that would be ridiculous. Just remove the guide rod that is pictured

Cleaning the oil cooler, radiator and screen...

This is after about an hour cutting grass about 5-6’ tall.

Cleaning the oil cooler, radiator and screen...

I will add I haven’t needed to use it since installing the window screen on the factory screen. When we use our tractors we are usually miles into the woods, so no air or water supply to use it “in the field”.

Cleaning the oil cooler, radiator and screen...

I use a radiator genie for cleaning, they work with air and/or water. On my L3800 I had to pull the radiator out to clean it one tine, it appeared to be clean but wasn’t and the temp gauge would get about 1/2 to 3/4. On my machine 1/4 on the gauge up normal to temp. But to prevent that I...

    Zero turn to B series

I’ve been around forums enough most just regurgitate what they have read before. I’ve found enough information before I even asked this question to see if I was missing anything or if there was something new. I asked about a B series that will run around 6k-8k total and the value of my zero...

    Zero turn to B series

22’ aluminum not sure on total weight as said before but I’d guess around 4k-4,500lbs

    Zero turn to B series

Not really close but either way the L and MX are close enough in length.

    Zero turn to B series

Well it seems everyone has went the opposite of what I inquired about. I don’t need recommendations on different brands of zero turns, as I already have a zero turn mower. A little more detail on needing something to move my boat. I repurposed a lean-to to the side of my shop but about 15 foot...

    Zero turn to B series

My zero turn does have a suspension seat. Some have brought up speed, I don’t cut at full speed, I would get beat to death if I did. I can’t due to ground conditions and even with new blades it’s doesn't cut everything at full speed. Next time I cut I’ll have to get an average speed.

    Zero turn to B series

I thought I typed it in but I guess I didn’t. I have a MX5100 with a loader, and my dad has my old L3800 with a loader. So that area is covered

    Zero turn to B series

Anyone ever go from a zero turn to a B series tractor with a MMM? After having small issues with my zero turn I've had the idea to upgrade, would like a diesel zero turn but can’t justify the cost. Currently mow about 2.5 acres and don’t foresee ever mowing more acreage, not to finish mower...

    13.6x28 vs 14.9x26 Tire Choice

Where are you getting the extra 2” of ground clearance? The 14.9x26 is slightly taller. The tread pattern is different between the two also, the 13.6x28 has more smaller lugs that are spaced closer together opposed to the 14.9x26 with larger single bar lugs.

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

I’ve loaded vehicles/equipment on trailers that were wider than the fenders. Just had some 2x6 or 2x8’s, whichever the height of the deck to top of the fender measurement is, the total length of the fender to support the weight. Assuming the fenders are fairly stout to begin with. But it you...

    L 3650

Water will make it milky although from the pictures it looks low, like nothing is in the sight glass.

    L 3650

It should be exactly where it shows on the manual posted above. We used to have this model. You need to be eye level with it as it shows on the manual. Standing or at an angle you probably won’t see it. Under the cover at the top is a secondary fill port for the hydro fluid, it’s probably caked...

    Trailer advice

It’s a Kodak 6’ Heavy duty with twin tail wheels at 1205lbs. It’s stout and awkward to pick up with the front end loader.

    Trailer advice

I have a 24’ 14k lb trailer and my MX takes up all of it with a bush hog. My 6’ bush hog is 1200lbs, if I’m loading up for a job there is no way I’m unhooking it and “tossing it” over the side of my truck every time. Buy a trailer longer than you think, and more capacity than minimum.
