    Thoughts on This Rock Bucket?

Yesterday I hooked up my grading scrapper. I fully extended the chisels and tipped it al the way forward so essentially it was chisels with no leveling. This did a great job bringing the rocks to the surface. I think the rock bucket would be able to pick up the rocks that are now on the...

    Thoughts on This Rock Bucket?

Thanks for the input and links KennysNewFarm and BCP. They are both helpful. I agree the weight would likely make a difference and the Tomahawk is less expensive. Titan has free shipping so that may equal out with the price of the Tomahawk + shipping. I sent an email to the Versa Rake folks...

    Thoughts on This Rock Bucket?

That is a great question that I don't have an answer for. I suppose if I bought that one I could fab up an insert that would split the difference and make it a 2" spacing? How well does your rock bucket work? What technique do you use with it?

    Rock Removal

We have about 1 1/2 acres of sandy rocky soil that we want to plant luscious green grass on. We plan on bringing in quality topsoil but before we do I’d like to remove as much of the rock as possible in the top 6” of the existing dirt. The rocks are 2-4” on average with a few that are 8”. Any...

    Post Driver?

We are in the beginning stages of planning a vineyard and I have been thinking about how to put the trellis posts in the ground. I have seen some hydraulic drivers like this one ( http://www.kencove.com/fence/Kencove+PD80+Post+Driver_detail_PD80.php ) and am wondering if anyone has experience...

    HST Gear Shift Lever

Mine is a bit tight as well. I only have 15 hours on it so far and I assume this will loosen up over time. I have to come to a complete stop and sometimes slightly depress the go forward-go backward pedal as well.

    Flail implement for tractor

Usually there are three plugs on these type of gear boxes. The bottom one is a drain, the middle is the fill level, and the top is the fill hole. Remove the top and middle plug. Fill through the top until fluid flows out of the middle.

Flail implement for brush and such?

I have a six foot rears flail with the y knives. I had trouble with any woody vegetation over 1 1/2 inch. I ended up using the excavator to pull all my sage brush and burnt it. Mower does fantastic on the smaller stuff. I set the mow height right at the ground and cut everything else basically...

    Anyone sell their tractor services?

I edited my original post to reflect the sprayer. I have held a commercial license before and am comfortable with spraying but there is a liability insurance requirement in WA which means I would probably have to make this a legit business if I sprayed. I’m thinking I’d rather keep this as a...

    Anyone sell their tractor services?

I like the $/hr/hp. Never heard of that. I sent an email to another guy on CL advertising and he said he charges $85?an hour. Another add says $75/hr for the first hour and $65 after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Anyone sell their tractor services?

If this in the wrong area moderators please move it.... My day job is rotating 12 hour shift work so I have 3 or 4 day weekends every week. We have had a significant delay in building our home and winery so now I have all that time off and nothing to do with it. I have been thinking about...

    FEL On Or Off

Getting ready for the inaugural run on my new to me but fairly old Rears SPF Flail mower. Had to replace all of the hangers, D-rings, and several of the cutting blades. Question is do I mow with the FEL on or removed? I won't be on super steep hillsides but there are hills involved. I have...
