My Local Dealer Is A Challenge

The title is being nice. When I was shopping for a tractor I applied for financing and was told no, you'll have to find your own financing. I asked some follow up questions but they had no interest in helping me. I called another dealer and explained my situation. They put me in contact...

    Rears SPF Flail Mower

I am looking forward to using it as well. Used them when I worked for WA DOT and like them a lot. Definitely a plus when we plant the vineyard to have the ability to throw all the prunings in the grass between the rows and then make them disappear. Thanks for the operating tips. I plan to...

    Rears SPF Flail Mower

I'd bet a fairly large sum of money on the missing blades and d-rings being my issue. I am certain I cut the pto shaft correctly and the pto shaft connecting the gearbox to the drive pulley has good u-joints. Not much else to vibrate.

    Rears SPF Flail Mower

I can't wait till those little apple suckers start growing this year. I rebuilt an old pto driven sprayer to kill them and this mower to cut them off at the ground. No more popped tires. Lol

    Rears SPF Flail Mower

Could be but the two brothers selling this were taking over a business from a dad who had come down with Alzheimer's and were selling off a bunch of equipment the dad had laying around. I doubt there was manipulative malicious intent but rather they had no idea what was wrong with it. At the...

    Rears SPF Flail Mower

Found a 72" Rears SPF flail mower on craigslist for $1500. Seller did not include the pto shaft in the sale. I rotated the unit and all bearings/gears felt OK so I bought it. Got it home, bought a new pto shaft, and hooked it up to the L4701, When I engaged the pto the mower shook so...

    L4701 / LA765 Loader Bucket Position Indicator

I have ordered a factory Bucket Position Indicator for the LA765 Loader on my L4701. I cannot figure out where it attaches. Could someone post a picture of theirs so I can see how the thing works?

Dual axle trailer brakes question. Do I need trailer brakes?

Back in the day I was towing a car with our Ford F-350 tow truck. Since we are towing customer cars and not our own trailers we never had working brakes on the towed vehicle. I was traveling 30 mph in a 30 mph zone with an overly safe following distance between me and the car in front to me...

Dual axle trailer brakes question. Do I need trailer brakes?

First I'd like to say that trailer brakes are kind of like seat belts. I bet you wouldn't say, "Why should I use a seat belt? I have been driving for 20 years without one and I have never had a problem before." You may be the most careful easy going driver out there but you cannot control the...

    Spray Paint

I'll stop at the local WalMart and see if they have this one in stock. One of the two item comments has a guy that shows his Kubota painted with it. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-Gloss-Protective-Enamel/17011102

    Spray Paint

I am refurbishing a Pak-Tank Sprayer as well as a Pak-Flail that I bought off craigslist. I would like to clean the outside up a bit and give them a new coat of paint. I am not going to do a full quality strip-prime-paint but rather wire brush the rust, give it a quick runt converter spray...

    Online Parts?

Is there a source for Kubota OEM parts online? I am an hour away from the nearest dealer. I'd much rather have UPS bring them to me.

    Quick Hitch Bushings Confusion

Thank you for helping. I saw that you shared that link on another thread. I see how those would work on the lower two connection points where the three point hitch normally slide on from the side but not on the top where you have to pull and reinstall the pin. Mine has the 7/8" pull and...

    Quick Hitch Bushings Confusion

I just ordered the Harbor Freight Quick Hitch and now I am a bit confused on which bushings I need to make my implements fit. Both my Sprayer and Flail have what I would call top link type pins that are 7/8" diameter. Both implements have the same type of pin on the bottom two connections as...

    PTO Shaft Education Needed

I went out and measured. It is a 6 spline shaft that is about 1 1/8" at the main part of the shaft and 1 3/8 at the outside of the splines.

    PTO Shaft Education Needed

I bought an older 6 foot Pak-Flail flail mower to go with my new L4701 that I bring home on Thursday. The PTO shaft was not included with the mower. I am new to this tractor thing and am not sure if these pto shafts are fairly universal or is the specific connections for Kubota's and brands of...

    FEL Attachments

About to pick up my L4701 and I have a question about attachments that would mount on the FEL instead of the bucket. I found this on eBay ( https://www.ebay.com/p/Titan-Attachments-3-16-Steel-Quick-Tack-Attachment-Mount-Plate/1665025055?iid=301921501931 ) and am curious if this is what will work...

    Front Counterweight Experience?

That is exactly why I am taking it off for this operation. In fact, I am anticipating having the FEL off the machine more than on once I am done with construction and landscaping.
