    Need a replacement battery

My 23-year old Sabre lawn tractor (manufactured by John Deere) is on it's 4th battery (including original) and there is an Everstart from Wal-Mart in there now; about 7 years old and still going strong, The Everstart is the longest-lasting battery I've had in there yet, and it's pretty hard to...

    Buying a UTV

I've been looking myself for a UTV and have narrowed to down to....Polaris Ranger. I considered Can-Am Defender as well, along with the Kubota. Decided against the Kubota as it was diesel, seems like Polaris has a much bigger dealer presence than Can-Am. I was definitely more interested in a...

Here's a Picture of Price Increase for This Year

The US spent a ton of $$$ to properly disassemble & render safe Soviet nuclear submarines after it was discovered that their method of disposal was to sink them in the ocean just off their (& other countries) coast(s). Now, the Russians are building submarines that are solely intended to...

    Snowblower help

Looking at the 'two plates' mentioned by @DustyRusty, it's easy to see how the 'teeth' (engagement lugs?) machined into each of the plates have an angle to them, which appears to be intended to keep the teeth engaged. The two plates could have been designed with flat-faced 90-degree teeth, but...

    BX2816 snow blower rpm question

@DustyRusty, with your 20+ years of BX snowblower experience can I hear your recommendation for a very nice used BX/front snowblower combination including: a) BX model/yr; b) blower model/generation; and c) jump-at price? I'm dipping my toes into that market, TIA :)

    Snowblower help

@GreensvilleJay said..... "As designed you should ( are supposed to ??) lower blower down, engage PTO,increase RPM to max,use it, reduce RPM to idle, disengage PTO, move to next location, repeat as required. This sequence should make the coupling last longer, but as designed, sooner or later, it...

    Snow removal

IMO using a tractor on hilly terrain presents its own challenges; by adding slippery wintery conditions you are amplifying the problem. Chains can help in mitigating the problem, but some rear ballast would also be desirable. I am in the same situation, contemplating acquiring a snowblower or...

What does the sticker on your vehicle say about you or what people may think about you

Saw this on the back of a Toyota Prius in front of me the other day.... "Cool Prius!" --said nobody

Kuboda power angle snow blade attachment

Do you have a third function valve on your tractor? If you've taken off a quick-attach (SSQA) bucket (not pin-on, SSQA (Skid Steer Quick Attach, assumed to be almost standard on a 2021 B2610)) then your bucket curl cylinders won't work your blade angle, just curl/dump the blade assembly. If...

Anyone living in a barndiminium or a spray foam contractor ?

I wondered that myself; I guessed an engine block & sticky wrap on the F tires to prevent 'steer' marks on the new concrete.

Kubota K Connect Snowblower problems explained.

Nice analysis & write-up. The only thing I would have added would be ID numbers imposed onto the pics to be sure that the order that they appear in the thread is the same as you intended with your picture reference numbers; I believe that occasionally the pictures can be displayed out of order...

    Snowblower help

I'm in agreement with @ve9aa, I'd look at auger & impeller shear bolts. This assessment is made based on the noise appearing once snow is introduced into the auger housing.

    Camera on snowblower

While researching front-mounted snowblowers a while back I found a video on YouTube posted by GP Outdoors in which he did just as you were contemplating. I have no link for the vid but should be easy to find - good luck! :)

Sudden change in B2920 engine sound?

Check air inlet for obstructions; snowplowing sometimes introduces snow buildup on the air filter. See this thread: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/air-filter-clogged-with-snow.48529/

    RPMs up and down

I routinely 'overdose' my diesels with fuel treatment(s) since it states on the container label that there's no downside to larger added quantities. I believe it's necessary to get the treated fuel introduced to the entire fuel system to ensure adequate protection. As far as warm-up idling, I...
