    Wood Chipper...PTO or Independent!

Welcome to the forum @grsiepka, I feed my chips into an identical trailer as yours (Ohio Steel); my blueberry bushes love that stuff!! :)

    Wood Chipper...PTO or Independent!

Yeah, the Woodland Mills WC-68 is made in China, but it a heavy-duty SOB and it works very well. 100 LB cutter wheel w/4 cutting blades, hydraulic feed, safety bar, feed chute folds up for compact transport or storage, very well designed unit IMO. Hydraulic feed is a must for a machine of this...

    Non ethanol gas

A friend of mine worked as a water tester before he took up a different line of work; he told me some horror stories about MBTE, which gets into the groundwater from older leaking gas station underground storage tanks. According to him a very small amount of MBTE is all it takes to contaminate a...

    Laser Pointer Buying Advice.

Since you have already requested police investigation, I would recommend contacting the police with the information that the 'bag crew' were back and active again; request the police to increase their neighborhood patrols (or start neighborhood patrols) particularly during the hours of unwanted...

LA535 Suppot Leg Breaking Latch Bolt

Although I have not experienced this issue on my B2601 with the LA435 swift tach system, I'm of the opinion that the damaging of the loader stand retention pins is related to bucket dumping and the position of the loader stand release lever (left side of loader boom when seated on tractor). In...

    Carpenter Bees.....

Those damn bees are like flying tanks; it seems no matter how hard you strike them they just shake it off and fly away. My greatest success has been swatting them to the ground and stomping them, they are tough bugs for sure.

    If it's a 550XP mark 1, sell it. If it's a mark 2, keep it! ;)

    Today and Tomorrow's Work Force

I think your'e lucky that you have some 'boys' to hire! Sounds like it could be the start of a productive relationship for both of you. No one is getting any younger and that hill will be probably be even steeper next year should you try to tackle it yourself. :) That they did a 'great job'...

Honda gx390 engine ticks, burns oil, 72psi compression.

I've got a Honda snowblower and the engine makes all kinds of extra noise; I think the engine is a GX390. Every season I wonder if it's going to come apart but it just keeps on ripping on....The oil looks fine as well, never figured out what the source of the noise is.

    Pole saws

I've got the same Greenworks polesaw that @85Hokie has listed, along with another GW chainsaw & leaf blower. The polesaw gets lots of use and is highly recommended, it works very well. The 'pole' can be reduced in length (or even extended with an additional section) for increased versatility...

    B2601 Front axel question

You may find that the pop you heard is actually the result of the tight fit of the snap-in cover for the front axel; my cover is quite a task to remove since the fit is quite tight. I could easily see a new owner thinking that there is a pressure build-up in the axle due to the fit of the fluid cap.

    My Kubota App

I have the app, I've noted all the serial numbers for my equipment there, might help someday if I'm in need of those numbers for some reason. I also keep pics of all my equipment on my phone.

    Buying BH70 backhoe for B2601

About 3 weeks ago my dealer picked up my 1 year old B2601 and returned it 3 days later with a brand-new BH70 hanging off the back of it. Yes, I'd been waiting about a year for the BH to become 'available', and I got several opinions on why it took a year for my ordered BH to get to the dealer...

    B2301 FEL and 3PH Problems

As far as the swift-tach hydraulic connection, that is the last item to be disconnected when removing the loader assembly; at that point the part of the loader that is blocking the swift-tach lever is out of the way of the hydraulic connector, allowing it's complete unfettered removal. It may be...

Anyone know Solar? Help me think this through

Why not use 12V low-wattage LED lighting and skip the inverter altogether. All your thoughts on 12V battery maintainer / solar charge controller / batteries seem logical IMO. FWIW take a look at phosphate ion batteries while your at it, much longer lasting than AGM (albeit more $$$).

    DIY BH77 Install Journey

Very nice! Have you tried disconnecting yet? My dolly currently has about 7/8" of clearance between the dolly & BH bottom; I'm still using the BH almost daily so I haven't gotten 'round to disconnecting it. I'm wondering how the clearance I currently have will work when disconnecting; I'm...

New B2601 owner with a question

Be sure to read the owner's manual, either upon delivery or sooner if you can find it online. IMO 5 hours on a Kubota diesel engine seems way overkill. The manual specifies engine operational info for the first 50 hours which is designed to properly break-in and condition the engine, I would...

    B2301 FEL and 3PH Problems

So it would seem that the advice regarding the 'compromised' couple on the FEL is the most likely issue affecting your loader performance. In your case, with the swift-tach loader hydro coupler, I'm wondering if one (or more) of the coupled hoses may not be fully seating during swift-tach...
