    Bacteria in fuel

Whatever you decide to do, the first step is to fill all tanks with fuel and treat aggressively with biocide. The idea being to hit all surfaces. With enough time for biocide effectiveness. Myself I would leave the tanks in place, continue with biocide, and check/change filter often. I would...

    What tools?

Small air compressor. Tire repair kit. Wand for compressed air to blow out radiator fins. Drain pans for fluids and a re-used 5-gal bucket with cap to transport used fluids to disposal. Small container of engine oil to keep at mark.

New Owner of L3200 wondering about oil and maintenance and loss of power issue.

Most important for a new L3200 owner is to not let the temperature gauge go above half-way. You have to watch it like you're piloting an airplane. Loss of power sounds like a fuel problem. Agree with everyone to change the fuel filter, and read the manual on how to bleed out air. Only need the...

    Electrical system question

Looks to me that the L3130 has a worklight conductor that is fused and keyed. Yellow conductor, perhaps check under the left rear fender for a taped connector. Could splice off that line, or splice back at the fuse block. Would not follow instructions to run directly to battery.

    L3130GST Clutch not controlling Pto.

Those models are all single clutch. Get a copy of the Workshop Manual (WSM) and go to the clutch/PTO section. Also the transmission/PTO section. Besides the cable that connects the PTO lever to a mechanical arm, there is a wire for the PTO shown in the clutch section. Your model has an Engine...

    Engine knocking

Just too much water in that tank. Fuel pumps use the diesel as a lubricant and coolant. Water provides the means for oxidation of precision metal parts. The long-term concern is ruining the fuel system. Short-term is getting that contaminated fuel out so it will start. Apparently it is...

    Engine knocking

That's a lot of water taken out. I would get some diesel containers and tubing. One end of the tubing to the bottom of the tractor fuel tank, start flow to container by syphon. Continue to hold tubing to bottom of tractor fuel tank to suction all water from bottom of tank. Remove all fuel, look...

You might consider talking with Oregon Fuel Injection to see if they have a rebuilt unit you could purchase.

Clicking noise when in neutral, then starter started smoking (L3901).

First, sorry for your woes. Normally, i would take this off to the dealer, You need a friend with a tractor, backhoe, 4-wheel drive, etc. and a chain to pull you out. Or rent a machine for a day. Or a backhoe service. Something. This may be more than a starter and you will need access under...

    Full replacement hose kit L3130

Is there a kit that's available that includes all sizes of hoses? I would call local dealer, Colemans, Messicks to see if they have a kit to sell. They will be asking the same questions - not trying to steer you to a particular solution that you don't want to do - just making sure that you...

    Engine knocking

Cheryl Is your machine M5030? Because the above manual is for an L series. If you do have an operator's manual for your machine it will describe how to bleed air in the fuel filter replacement section.

    Engine knocking

I just cranked for 5 seconds and stopped. I'm guessing I need to bleed the injectors and am unsure exactly how on my tractor. That's good on the crank time. Never more than 10 seconds continuous on start so the starter doesn't burn out. After opening the filter the lines need to be bled of...

    Fram Oil Filter for BX2680?

Engine oil filter shows as HH150-32094; cross ref to Fram PH3593A. NAPA has cross reference tables for Kubota filters.

BX2200 temperature gauge "danger zone" question

In addition to the above comments, what's the condition of the cutter blades? Hot weather and thick grass means that the tractor can't move as fast forward without overheating.

Cooling issue with my excavator, Kubota engine

First thought is that the radiator is not pushing heat to air. The outside fins get dirty or clogged over time. Sometimes the radiator has to be removed to get a good bath on the outside. Assuming that the pump is working here. Coolant should be 50/50 mix. If it is straight antifreeze, it has...

B7500 Instrument Panel Circuits Oxidation Help

Just wanted to ad that to better fight or prevent the blue oxidation/corrosion to my dash traces... Motorcraft XG12 is for multipin connectors. I would not use it on traces. I would figure that at some point I may need to work the traces again without cleaning up grease or dried-up grease. If...

    Fimco Sprayer - Low Pressure

    1) Electrical connections from pump to battery. 2) Pump itself. Tractor Supply has replacements. 3) Not a cause, but sounds like time to check the nozzles for wear and clogging. This will probably get moved to attachments forum.

B7500 Instrument Panel Circuits Oxidation Help

All in all I would like to learn which side of the pins in the large terminal block plug to push on the barbed pins to release and what tool to use, also where to get the small wire size to dash and match the colors. Round pins typically from the back, and rectangular pins from the front. Some...

Fluid leak behind brake drum - B6100HST-D

The best answer is in that machine's Workshop Manual (WSM). You might check kubotabooks.com for an electronic copy. Seals usually get grease - WSM has where it is needed and direction of seal. Cases typically get a Three-Bond sealant - WSM will call for particular type, especially around rear...

    B2601 3rd function switch repair

Sorry, going to do some nitpicking here. Assume a charging voltage of 13.5vdc. Superbright takes 3.3 vdc, which gives a voltage across a resistor of 10.2vdc. Normal current for the LED is 20 mA. But, that's at 25C (temperature). Derating for 40C, would be a target current of about 14 mA. The...
