Can you explain this fuel solenoid problem - L3400HST?

You could parallel a 12V LED on the solenoid coil. If the LED is lit, then you have voltage to the solenoid coil. If the LED is unlit, and you tap the solenoid, and coil and LED come on, then you have a path problem. Same can be done with a voltmeter and a good helper. The intent is to judge...

Can you explain this fuel solenoid problem - L3400HST?

Condition 1: Tapping the solenoid helps. If this is true, then the solenoid plunger must be hanging. But, you demonstrated that you could make it work all the time, except mounted where it normally would be. So, is it an orientation issue, that is, does the plunger move in the same orientation...

L2900 intermittent electrical issue, won’t crank

Sounds like the switch. A big clue is that it got warm/hot. If it would put your mind at ease, then pull the connector from the switch, and crimp up connector pins with labelled leads to the switch. Next ohm the switch to the switch electrical table. More than likely you will find a connection...

    L3400 will not start, question

Calcasieu, "eagle cry". Sounds like a relay or a bad connection. Be nice to have a wiring diagram. And a Volt-Ohm Meter. Maybe a helper too. Diagnose by metering one connection at a time. Move the wires around to find the loose connection. Check relay sockets for proper connections. Test...

    L4200 stolen Waco, TX

A suggestion would be to revisit with the sheriff dept and see if it is still in their database. These numbers are more shared now than a few years ago. It's of little comfort to you, but some A$$H stole a tractor up in Hunt county. He is now in state prison because the owner had the numbers.

    Over heating

Never run your hand along the hydraulic line to check for leaks. The pressure will inject fluid into your skin which means a painful trip to the hospital. Always use a piece of paper or cardboard to hunt for leaks. Shops can replace hose and install connectors if you want to save money. I would...

    Over heating

Congrats on the ranch and tractor! With a cold engine, very carefully use a hose with water to flush the dirt and seeds from the radiator. Low flow, don't bend the fins of the radiator! You might get a can of coil cleaner from the big box store and use that. It foams and loosens some of the...

    something is draining my battery

Auto parts stores will do that for free. Just bring the battery in to them.

    something is draining my battery

What Daren says. Make sure the battery is good. Fault isolation on load side by using the fuse block. Start with all fuses disconnected on one side. Push fuse in until the culprit is found. Also check that the battery is clean and not draining by dirt or other sneak paths.

    Kubota Alternator/Volt Regulator

I would keep an eye on this. It may not be out of the woods yet. If it was really overcharging at a certain point the electrolyte gets hot and starts to boil off. Which is bad when the plates are not covered. Loose or dirty connections to the battery could cause overvoltage because of bad...

    Kubota Alternator/Volt Regulator

Sorry about your worries. Wiring is making a good ground connection so that the alternator has a reference? Possible to buy a new voltage regulator instead of replacing/refurbing the whole alternator. You're right about it not being in the IPL, but maybe the part number is on the regulator...

    L3800 radiator cap

My service guy says that on a 2012 model the new radiators will show bubbles. That if there is no coolant in the oil, and no overheating, then I am likely OK. Derned newfangle machines.

    L3800 radiator cap

The good news is that the hoses work and coolant comes out of the overflow container when vacuum is applied to the hose. The bad news is that when I start from cold, with the radiator cap off - - looking into the radiator neck I see bubbles and frothing. Oh Wow Bad News. Likely a leaking...

    L3800 radiator cap

Thanks for eyeballing your tractor and the information. The radiator cap on mine turns out to be a 2-valve. So maybe it is original equipment. What's happening is that coolant is not getting sucked back into the radiator from the overflow tank. Maybe the radiator cap is the right part, but now...

    L3800 radiator cap

I could use some help. My used L3800 has a radiator cap with no markings, other than ".9", which I take to be .9 bar or 13psi. The part number is supposed to be TC422-16090 (Kubota). Is a Kubota cap marked? Are the caps a 2-valve design; do they allow coolant to move back from the overflow...
